Safely and appropriately lift, carry, and transport patients utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques, always keeping patient safety and comfort as top priorities.5. Ensure that the assigned ambulance is always clean and neat, appropriately stocked per company standards and that all equipment is clean and in proper mechanical condition by checking items required by fleet management.6. Maintains familiarity with specialized equipment used by the service.7. Clearly and completely document all patient care using approved format.8.

Maintain a clean, orderly environment in crew quarters.9. Attends continuing education and refresher training programs as required by employers, medical control, licensing or certifying agencies.10. One year Pre-hospital EMS experience preferred. Required Licensure: State of Alaska Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP) license, a valid driver's license, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within three months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent certification is required within six months of hire. Other Qualifications: Required to take a defensive driving course.

The training must have included an Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS) or equivalent and must be repeated every two years. Must maintain ability to pass repeat background checks and ability to possess an identification badge issued by the TSA and airport security. Attendance: Regular attendance is required for this position. English Language: Must be able to read, write and speak English. EMT-III requirements: Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required. Experience: Minimum two years' experience as a licensed driver required.
