HR processes for the site in accordance with company policies and labor and bidding process, disciplinary process, compliance investigations, etc. Handle site-specific and sensitive employee and labor relation issues with employees at the plant, leveraging Employee/Labor Relations for consultation and practices/policies/templates.
Provides HR advice and counsel to leaders in the operation; assists in developing managers in interpretation and consistent application of people related policies. May perform day-do-day activities related to the organizational pillar and/or E&T pillar of the Smucker Quality Management System (" SQMS" ) under the guidance of the HR Manager. Support
for all recruiting activities for technical and hourly employees including sourcing, screening, interviewing, etc. May perform tasks to support local site operations such as coordinating community relations or employee appreciation events, issuing badges, or managing other site activities (e.
g. donations or giveaways, visitor coordination, plant uniforms, lockers, mailboxes, communications). Reviews and interprets people and organizational information for the site and provides advice and support to plant managers and leaders regarding challenges, opportunities, or issues. Draft functional communication materials and trainings for Operations/Plant HR review and approval. Identify and
drive efficiencies in HR support by streamlining manual processes and maximizing the transition of all viable HR services to the shared service center.
Provide input to the corporate HR Shared Services (HR SSC) team or Centers of Excellence regarding localized needs and the effectiveness of HR programs & services. Maintain all compliance requirements. Analyze and correct errors and ensure proper quality controls are in place to avoid future errors. Support HR Manager or Plant Operations with the execution of compliance programs, internal audits, external audits, and government audits. May assist management in adhering to business objectives and costs by providing data, input, review, analysis, modeling, or other information and support.
Work with the HR SSC team to review and assist with the ongoing development, evaluation, and maintenance of documentation (e. g. Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions) to ensure complete, accurate, and up-to-date depiction of processes. May lead, participate in and/or support projects and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities within established constraints. to the VP of Engineering and will support operations and supply base to produce electrical disconnect switches used by electrical utility companies. This position will interpret customer specifications, draft in SOLIDWORKS, process shop work orders and perform various office duties.
Drafter Responsibilities: Design high voltage switch control mechanisms primarily using SOLIDWORKS or Auto CAD LT according to department CAD standards. Design and detail fabricated parts. Leverage extensive library of pre-existing designs to efficiently create drawing packages for customer approval. Make timely revisions based on markups. Document drawing changes through an established ISO 9001 compliant
Engineering Change process. Create drawing packages from a variety of inputs - hand sketches, marked photos, and fully detailed substations.
Interpret customer drawings which typically entail detailed structural members and substation equipment layouts. Qualifications for Drafter: Associate degree in Drafting from technical school with a minimum of 2 years' experience is required. Expertise in SOLIDWORKS (3D) preferred; experience utilizing Auto CAD (2D) is required. Proficiency in O-365 product suite, Syteline, PDM Professional (filevault) is required. Structural detailing or mechanical system design experience is preferred. Must have the ability to problem solve and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have experience designing engineered-to-order products in a production environment. Must be detail-oriented and have great time management skills while always operating with a sense of urgency. Royal offers a competitive pay package that includes an hourly wage paid weekly and a production bonus paid monthly totaling $21.50 per hour. $19.25 per hour is paid weekly. The production bonus is paid monthly and pays a year-to-date average of $2.00 per hour.
