Need? High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Have appropriate MIG welding experience OR have completed a formal welding training program (or the equivalent in training and experience).
Pass required entry-level plate test for production welding. Have appropriate mechanical skills, including experience using hand and air-powered tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. ). Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills. Work Environment: Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature, humidity, noise, and dirt). Use of personal protective equipment including a welding hood, gloves, and sleeves, safety glasses, face shields and hearing protection.
Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, electrical arc-welding equipment, and materials handling.
Working with hazardous materials, including solvents, oils, grease, and pressurized gases. A variable work schedule (ranging from 8-12 hours daily depending on production needs, with overtime paid after 40 hours per week) and some scheduled work on Saturdays. An expectation to work at least 50% of Saturdays. Essential Physical Functions: The physical demands for this job are classified as medium and include the following: Be able to handle items weighing over 60 pounds from floor to knuckle. Be able to handle pull or push items up to 50 pounds.
Be able to handle items up to 35 pounds from knuckle to shoulder. Be able to handle items up to 25 pounds from shoulder to overhead. Perform occasional inspections of equipment, purchased parts, manufactured parts, and defective parts returned from a dealership. Help get dispositions for out-of-specification material completed which includes contacting the appropriate department such as Product Support, Design, Purchasing, etc.
Assist various departments for verification of new and existing products which may include supplier visits, dealership visits, etc. Coordinate problem solving activities to identify and eliminate root causes of non-conformances. Create and conduct training about quality issues working with various departments as needed. Research, write, and edit documents for the business such as change request
documents (CRD’s), reject tickets, procedures, work instructions, etc.
Organize, maintain, and update computer files of product-related documents. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment: Regular, continuous use of a computer. Office environment some of the time, with regular trips to the shop (including Plant 1 , Plant 3, and Product Development), and occasional work outdoors. The shop environment includes physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery. Outdoor work may include observing or operating equipment at test fields or construction sites, in all kinds of weather conditions.

High school or equivalent required and 4 plus years of quality related experience. Exhibit advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics skills and aptitude and perform at the highest level. Have a good work record, including indications of strong self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality. ASQ Quality Technician or Inspector certification or a lesser ASQ certification with an understanding that ASQ Quality Technician or Inspector certification within a six month period is required. At least 4 years of weld experience.
Proficient in reading prints for weld and dimensionals. Basic understanding of GD& T. Understanding of PPAP (first article/ISIR) process.
