This Larson 290 Cabrio is a great boat for Catalina Island or just cruising the harbor.
She is powered by a rebuilt Volvo Penta 7.4L 310 HP engine with a closed cooling system
and a Volvo Penta Duo Prop outdrive.
The hull on this Larson Cabrio 290 is a modified V hull bottom with an "amidship" step that divides the hull into forward and aft sections- what Larson calls a Duo Delta Conic hull. The effect on the hull is impressive.
In the birdpit, there is a walkthrough transom with a door and a transom bench that meets another bench on the port side making an L bench.
Then there is a double wide back-to-back seat at the helm.
Overhead there is a large custom bimini with a 160-watt solar panel making sure your batteries are charged and ready to go all the time.
Down below you have the galley to port with a refrigerator and sink and to starboard is the head and
wet shower. Forward you have hanging lockers and a large roomy double berth, then there is also a large and roomy double berth amidships. The sound system is good with an Amped sub to give you the mood you want to match the harbor's quiet or the trip home's excitement.
The condition is very good for the age of the boat. The bottom paint is very good primarily because it is not kept in the water. The upholstery is in pretty good condition with exception of the Captain's double seat. It is showing signs of wear and cracking. Everything works as it should except the speedometer but the GPS will tell you what your speed is, so really don't need it.
