New 2024
Overview: Her raised salon, center birdpit deck design offers excellent on-deck visibility and security, and provides the structure for her extensive interior arrangement plans.
Tartan 5300 is fit with a carbon fiber mast featuring a small overlapping working upwind headsail, off wind furling reacher and a Leisure Furl TM In-boom furling system
for the main. Standing the Test of Time This design provides optimum performance and ease of handling. Utilizing Tartan’s industry leading lamination techniques, the 5300 hull and deck composites are the strongest, lightest and safest in the industry. Weight conversing, advanced composites are used to increase all performance indicating ratios and allow for a higher ballast-to-displacement ratio, providing greater sail carrying ability and stability.
Sailplans That Deliver Upwind, she is powered by a high performance 105% roller furling jib. The smaller size means easier tacking and better visibility, this sail can also be furled to a 90% jib without significant loss of sail shape. Offwind
performance is maximized using a masthead, roller furling reacher that is easily handled by a couple. For greater strength and performance, the 5300 is fit with a two spreader carbon mast that saves 50% of the tube weight of an aluminum mast.
Additionally, rod rigging further reduces weight aloft and provides less stretch and windage. These weight savings further improve the sail carrying ability, sea keeping motion and stability of the 5300. Stability The Tartan 5300 is designed as a cruising boat for sailors that appreciate performance. 46.5 feet of waterline and a displacement to length ratio of 165 deliver impressive daily passages and rewarding sailing characteristics. A narrow waterline
entry angle and clean undistorted lines leading to broad aft quarters produce a hull with good upwind performance and powerful, sheets eased sailing.
Through careful shaping, the hull has an even volume distribution throughout its length. This shape remains in symmetry when the boat heels and maintains good directional stability. Coupled with a high ballast-to-displacement ratio and low CG keel designs, the 5300 is an uncommonly stable and very well mannered sailing yacht. Handling That’s A Breeze Great performance, with easy handling begins with the correct rig choice. With over 15 years of development, the Leisure Furl™ in-boom furling system is a highly efficient, safe and simple method of reefing and controlling the mainsail.
Each Leisure Furl boom is custom engineered and fabricated specificially for your Tartan 5300 and is elegantly tapered for attractiveness and weight savings. Interiors That Make The Difference The interior of the 5300 is available in a range of layouts, all carefully fit out by Tartan craftsman in varnished cherry joiner-work and luxurious fabrics. Longer passages made easier by Tartan’s cruising innovations, the Tartan 5300 sets the new standard for the class. Optimal Deck Design Hallmarks of Tartan deck design center on wide side decks for easy and safe movement.
The deep, comfortable and secure birdpits offer the perfect entertainment spot and allow for easy handling while at sail. Extensive ventilation through portlights and hatches allow for an open air feeling when down below, at dock or under sail. 12 opening house side portlights, 2 birdpit opening portlights, 4 dorades and 10 deck hatches provide ventilation, always a central theme for Tartan. A Place For Everything On-deck storage, often a draw back to center birdpit designs, is given a priority on the 5300. She boasts 3 large deck lockers, a forward locker and 2 additional storage units in the aft port and starboard quarters.
These lockers provide ample space for a wide range of cruising gear. Fit with the best hardware and equipment available, her deck is a model of comfort, safety and efficiency. At Home On The Water Knowing that our owners have different requirements, the 5300 is available in a range of standard interior layouts. 3 and 4 cabins designs, as well as an available raised interior nav/remote helm station are just some of the highlights of the available option. Each arrangement plan features two large head compartments, both fit with full shower stalls, an opulent main cabin positioned in the raised salon area, full navigation station and a galley that will please the most ardent seagoing chef.
Extensive use of laminated curved trims and solid stock panel doors and cabinetry, all varnished to a satin luster, surround you in soft hues and elegance. Making full use of the center birdpit/raised salon deck plan, the 5300’s interior layout is extensive, expansive and inviting. Manufacturer Provided Description The 5300 provides great performance and ease of handling on an incredibly stable platform. Her raised salon, center birdpit deck design offers excellent.
New 2024
Manufacturer Provided Description In 2004 Seawind Catamarans launched the 38ft Seawind 1160… a ground breaking and innovative design that gained worldwide acclaim for its clever layout and use of space, ergonomic design and effi cient short-handed sailing performance.
With well over 100 Seawind 1160s launched and sailing the world, the design
has been well proven, from crossing the world’s largest oceans to chartering in the beautiful locations such as the Whitsundays, Thailand and Caribbean. Now with the Seawind and Corsair Marine design teams joining forces, a whole new approach is being taken to this classic design.
Though the Seawind 1160 LITE will feature the same resininfused construction and same hull, deck, rig, sails and the famous Trifold door system of the previous 100 or so Seawind 1160s built, the design team have gone back to the drawing board on how to streamline the design to offer a robust cruising cat at a very attractive price. One of the most noticeable differences on board the Seawind 1160 LITE is the
new sleek interior design and fit out. The timber kit will be replaced with lightweight and stylish timber look laminate surfaces, with a new contemporary neutral colour palette as specified by Seawind’s interior stylist.
The upholstery will be modern, angular, yet practical with a range of hard wearing Sunbrella fabrics to choose from. The Seawind 1160 LITE also changes from the traditional diesel sail drives to lighter 20hp Honda (or 25hp Yamaha) outboard engines with electric tilt. The layout will remain largely unchanged, though the ensuite on the starboard forward cabin will be replaced with a walk in wardrobe and wet locker. The galley will be simplified with an upright fridge/freezer
and 3 burner stove, but still offered the same amount of storage with ring lockers, a handy shelf and plenty of cupboard space – far more in fact than in larger cats with galley up designs.

Beautiful condition Norman Cross, custom-designed trimaran!
Restored, Loaded and ready to cruise! If you are looking for an exciting cruiser for day sails or a platform to cruise along the coast, you have found it with this 1978 Norman Cross 36 MK II Trimaran. Classic design by Norman Cross who was strongly influential in the refinement of designing
multihulls in San Diego, California. Cross introduced the 34 and provided a stretched version 36 MK II to take a step up from the traditional " cruiser" model designed for a higher potential of speed without getting into racing. Two large berths on port and starboard, a centralized salon and forward storage and head.
The galley has an electric mini-fridge, foot pump sinks and counter space for your navigation charts, radio and other equipment of your choosing. The head is pleasantly designed to do the basics without the odor or muck of holding tanks. This trimaran is perfect for the minimalist with the true basics and functional life of sailing on the water. With 6' 1"
head clearance, there is easy movement forward or aft without crowning your head when maneuvering below deck. Plenty of self-reliant power with the two Kyocera marine grade solar panels.
The seller has done over $12,000 in newer hull and deck paint and other improvements. Per the previous owner, the inboard engine was seized and costly to repair due to limited parts. The inboard engine and fuel tank have been removed. She is powered with the simplicity of a 9.9 HP outboard and customized motor mount. Seller reports this boat was constructed under the supervision of Norman Cross himself. We are looking for people all over the country who share our love for boats. If you have a passion

SALE PENDING 36' Wooden Ketch, L.
Francis Herreshoff Nereia design. Maintained by a local Shipwright. Beautiful and fast. Modern electronics including Auto pilot She hails home to Americas Cup Harbor in San Diego, California. Designed by the renowned Naval Architect Herreshoff who was successful in producing contending yachts in America's Cup
Yacht Races. This 1984 Herreshoff Nereia 36 is sail-ready. Herreshoff was a naval architect who stepped away from his " H-class" models and designed the Nereia which is a class in itself that is designed for a class of speed but holding to the functionality of the yacht for a family outing.
She has a low profile free-board creating a dynamic appearance for speed and a sail plan for best windward performance to succeed in the weekend races. Yet, she is functional above and below deck space for the coastal sails and family weekend stay out to the Channel Islands. This vessel was modeled after a yester-year design but she is equipped with modern technology and rigging. She is cared
for and maintained by the current seller with no resistance or deferred maintenance. The seller uses her as a daily sailer and local sporting regattas. She is owned by a hobby shipwright who does not defer any order of maintenance and constantly has kept her " ship-shape" the owner confirms.
