She is a gaff-rigged ketch and she has generous accommodations in her cabin. Her arrangement is a V-berth forward, galley to port, storage to starboard, two settees, and a porta-potty to pull out from under the bridge deck. Her self-bailing birdpit is large enough for family and friends to spread out.
Storage is provided in the lazaret and under the birdpit seats. When not under sail she is powered by a 2006 Tohatsu 6 HP four-stroke engine. She will sail upright and go to windward well as her name indicates. The split ketch gaff rig is easy to handle and reduces easily when white caps appear. Her hull construction is glue and screw 1/2" plywood and epoxy on plywood bulkheads and
straight frames. Her sails are in good condition and she comes with all running rigging and the original build plans. She rides on a 2008 aluminum dual axle trailer made by Advanced Boat Trailers of Jacksonville, FL and custom-made for this boat.
Since new, when not in the water, this boat has been stored in a climate-controlled inside storage building built specifically for this boat. Just forward of the galley is the dinette with a pilot berth and the settee opposite to starboard. The table folds down to maximize the space but when it is meal time it is large enough to accommodate the whole crew.
The galley has a double sink, a gimbaled two-burner stove, and a microwave oven. There is also an entrance to the master stateroom from the galley. There is also a flat-screen TV in the salon and a Daewood Mini clothes washer on the bulkhead to port in the Vee berth. The Vee berth is large and comfortable and has a new memory foam mattress.
The owner's stateroom is aft and offers a center line bed (rare for any aft birdpit sailboat) with a Custom Foam Mattress. It can be entered via the galley or head and offers a standing headroom of up to 6'2" There are two hanging lockers and ample storage compartments.
The head is to starboard and includes an onboard shower. Engine access and maintenance is easy and quick. Both the forward and aft engine compartment covers are removable in seconds and access is also available from each side. When not under sail the boat is powered by a Yanmar 3HM35F 30 HP diesel pushing a Hurth ZF 63-A transmission. This 1987 Hunter Legend 37.5 is the perfect home on the water. The main salon is
open and airy due to the skylights and the large portlights.
The Huge Private Aft Stateroom offers an island double berth with a foam mattress (no crawling over one another to get to bed). Guests can stay in the forward V berth and there is a pilot berth in the main salon for additional crew. Ready For the Next Adventure! Yepp.there's no hiding the obvious.this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 was born with a red hull. That was painted over with yellow and the yellow is now peeling off. The hull appears to be in pretty good condition - except for needing a bottom job - but the peeling paint is a distraction. This
Encounter 26 is similar to the original C&C 26, however with a shorter keel, shorter rig, and a heavier displacement. This makes this sloop a great rig for running over to the Bahamas.and this one knows the way! It's made the trip many times. Below there is a good-sized salon with a folding table, a head forward of the salon, and a V-berth in the peak.
The galley has an Origo 2-burner stainless steel unpressurized alcohol stove, a stainless steel sink with both fresh and raw water pumps, and a new Frigo 12V refrigerator. Above here is a fully-battened loose-footed main, a Harken main traveler, and a boom with end-boom sheeting, all new in 2020. This allowed the traveler to be moved from
the companionway to the aft end of the birdpit. This change permitted the installation of a new continuous Dodger/Bimini in 2020. There is also a mainsail cover, new in 2020.
Additionally, there is a 110% jib with Selden roller furler, a Gennaker, and a storm trysail. Also, since 2020, there is a new boom vang, and all new sheets and halyards with professionally spliced whipped ends and reeving loops. The halyards are all run to the birdpit with new rope clutches. Ground tackle includes a Rocna 10kg (22#) anchor with 170' of 5/16 HT chain and a Fortress 7 anchor with 30' of chain and 150' of rode. These are managed by a manual Lofrans windlass. Electric generation/storage include 280
watts of solar panels with Bluetooth controller, 3 recent lead acid Group 9 batteries and a recent lead acid starting battery, a recent Guest 2 bank battery charger, and new DC panels.
There is also a 30 amp shore power with cord and a 50 amp-30 amp converter. Navigation aids include a Garmin Echomap UHD 94sv 9" plotter/sonar with an external transducer mounted on the hull, a Garmin wind indicator, a Ritchie 6" compass, a Raymarine ST2000+ tiller pilot, and a Standard Horizon GX2000 VHF radio with AIS & DSC, all new in 2020. There is also a Boss stereo and a masthead LED tricolor/anchor light, both added in 2020. When the boat is not under sail it is powered by a Yanmar 8HP single-cylinder diesel engine.

This 310 has been lovingly cared for and boasts tons of upgrades and improvements. Let's start with the power plants. These twin 350 MPI VD-t 350 Magnums have had lots of attention. The starboard
engine has updated stainless-steel heads and both engines have updated manifolds and risers. There are newer fuel injectors on both engines and plugs, wires, coils, distributor caps, and rotors. The raw water intake impellers were recently replaced on both engines as well.
The starboard engine currently has 815 hours and the port engine has 813 hours. An engine communications module linking the engines to the NEMA 2000 network was recently added as well. Both props were remanufactured in 2021 and the boat had fresh bottom paint in November of 2020. Boarding this boat, you're immediately impressed with the Sea Dek-like material installed throughout the birdpit, along the sidewalks, and
the bow. The large birdpit U-shaped seating area has all new upholstery and the entire birdpit enclosure is new, including canvas, Isinglass, and screens. There is also a smart TV and wet bar in the birdpit.
At the helm, you'll find new switch/gauge panels, a new Garmin GPS/plotter, new Garmin Autopilot, new Fusions stereo, and a new i Com VHF radio.
