2011 Paul Mann Custom 81' Convertible Paul Mann built the 81-footer Georgia Girl , the largest build ever from his North Carolina yard, to great acclaim.
Georgia Girl has a 23-foot beam, which allowed the designers to create an open, airy interior, defined by hand-picked cherry veneer in the saloon and cabins. The veneer saves precious weight
but still adds an element of class. The saloon includes a long island near the galley, with a granite countertop and three seats for breakfast. The yacht’s inner curves and stonework show the yard’s ability to craft a boat that is not only fast (40-knot top end), but elegant.
The profile, with the long forefoot and tall helm area, also carries a Carolina classic look. Vessel is Captain Maintained by a knowledgeable owner who cared for her with an open checkbook. If a maintenance item needed to get done it was done. Georgia Girl has been a one owner boat since she was built and lightly used primarily for cruising to the Bahamas. grand prize in the seventh annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge™, one of the most highly respected and well-known craftsmanship competitions in woodworking.
Besting over 60 entries, the 81-foot Paul Mann features hand selected plain-sliced cherry veneer accented with figured cherry throughout the cabins and saloon, pronounced to be an “elegant yet lightweight solution in a marine project where weight is a significant consideration, ” by Bill Esler, associate publisher for Vance Publishing/Woodworking Network, and publisher of Wood and Wood Products and Custom Woodworking Business, one of three judges for the 2011 competition. How Does Georgia Girl Run?
This boat rides smooth, goes fast and remains dry — hard characteristics to combine in a boat this size. “You can make it light and it’ll ride hard, ” Mann says. “Or you can add weight to the boat and make it ride better. But then the boat might throw water unless your running surface is just right. ” The water leaves the 81’s hull just about amidships, keeping everyone dry. “This one reminds me of a 65 on steroids, ” Mann says. Engine Room Notes: It’s always a treat to stand up straight in an engine compartment. Georgia Girl’s qualifies as extraordinary, with more-than-standing headroom in the engine compartment and work space all the way around each engine.

1937 Stone Shipyard 53' Custom Seller Financing Considered For Qualified Buyers!
This legendary 1937 Philip Rhodes designed 53 foot custom cutter rigged sailing yacht was commissioned at the Stone Boatyard in Oakland, California. SENTA's original owner, K. K. Bechtel, Esq. commissioned Stone to build her after seeing 1935 sistership Kirawan
win the 1936 Newport to Bermuda race in her class. Warned that the build would be costly, Mr. Bechtel gave Stone full reign to build, and even improve if possible. SENTA has been around the world several times with a rich sailing and racing history. Her original build plans are in hand and her bulkheads and interior are kept to the original design.
Gannon & Benjamin of Martha's Vineyard, a highly regarded yard for wooden sailing yachts, completed a major rebuild in 1992. And in 2011, she was repowered with a 55hp Volvo Penta diesel engine along with new fuel tank and fuel lines. SENTA has been maintained/serviced as needed by Snediker Yacht Restoration, Pawcatuck CT, specializing in classic
wooden boats. The most recent repair was to replace the stem and service all seabirds. Designer Designed in 1936 by Philip Rhodes, an MIT graduate and Chief of Design at Cox and Stevens, a large naval architecture firm in New York City.
Kirawan was the first ocean racer to bring Rhodes considerable international fame, along with the subsequent design of Senta. You may find reference to her sistership build and design in the book " Philip L. Rhodes and his yacht designs" by Richard Henderson. Designed with the Bermuda race in mind, she was also meant to be suitable for weekend cruising. Vessel Walkthrough and Details INTERIORForepeak forward with anchor rode forward followed

Spirit: The Carver 390 birdpit Motor Yacht is one of the best layout for yachts in this size range.
The birdpit gives easy access to the boat as well as a good position to handle lines. This particular 390 has the dual helm station so on bad weather days, you can still enjoy boating. The aft cabin has its own access to the birdpit, which gives
some privacy. If you have guest on board, they can make use of the forward Vee Berth with its own complete head. The galley is large for a boat this size with quick access to the Settee. The covered aft deck is plenty of room for several people to sit and enjoy the shade.
The flybridge offers excellent visibility all around the boat, which helps with docking. Spirit is equipped with dinghy davits off the swim platform. A nice feature is the 6’ 4” headroom in the main salon, which gives the boat a larger feel. The two AC units do a decent job of keeping the living areas cool. Carver does a good job of building in plenty of storage for longer trips. Spirit is powered with twin very reliable
Forsyth Countys 6BT 5.9L diesel motors. The Westerbeke 5KW genset with 3321hrs, allows you to enjoy an anchor out. It is easy to see why this model is popular with those interested in the Great Loop or traveling the ICW.

Description Largest boat in the Silverton fleet when she was introduced in 1990, the 46 Motor Yacht combined conservative styling and roomy accommodations in a feature-rich, low-cost package—a lot of boat for the money.
Like many Silvertons of her era, the 46 rides on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide beam and a moderate 17 degrees of transom deadrise. The interior of the Silverton 46 is traditional with staterooms fore and aft and the galley and dinette down. The salon isn’t large for a 46-footer, but it is quite open and includes a convertible L-shaped sofa to port. The second guest cabin has a foldaway berth that converts to a lounge. Storage is abundant throughout. (Note that the
engineroom, accessed via hatches in the salon sole, is quite spacious.
) Topside, the aft deck came with a hardtop, an entertainment center and wet bar, and the large flybridge is arranged with bench seating aft of the helm. Additional features include foredeck seating, radar arch, washer/ dryer combo, wide side decks, bow pulpit, and a bathtub in the owner’s head. Standard 485hp 6-71s cruise the Silverton 46 MY at 22 knots (mid 20s top).
