The hull is optimized for speed and efficiency, the theme demonstrated first with the Hunt 33. Careful weight control, use of a single high-output 420 bhp lightweight diesel, a large-area five-blade propeller, and the latest refinements in the Hunt deep-V combine to provide a top speed of 30 knots and a low cruise speed of 12 knots - still on plane. Range is 300-plus nautical miles at 20 knots on its 200-gallon fuel capacity.
More space below allows a larger head and galley and more lockers. An optional private forward cabin layout is available. Headroom is six feet, three inches. On the bridgedeck, there is an additional 2 feet more length than on the 33, making room for twin helm and navigator chairs and an L-Settee with expandable dining table.
Six inches was added to the birdpit length. Open, Hardtop, and Sedan models are available. Power options include twin diesels and conventional propellers or waterjets. A top speed of over 40 knots is achievable in this latest design from C. Raymond Hunt Associates.
