Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports within the Yardi system. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management. and amortization schedules and Fixed Assets in Yardi. Oversee property tax payments.
Prepare consolidated financial statements for several entities Scrutinize a range of financial statements from multiple properties, addressing various aspects including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, rent, etc. Property Accounting: Oversee property-level accounting processes, including rent collections, expense reconciliations, and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) accounting in Yardi. Review CAM budgeting and CAM reconciliations as performed by your team. Lease Administration: Manage lease data within the Yardi system, tracking lease terms, rent escalations, and tenant obligations.
Work closely with property managers to ensure lease compliance and accuracy. Financial Analysis: Review all month-end (M/E), quarter-end (Q/E), and year-end (Y/E) closes of the General Ledgers. Conduct financial analysis using Yardi data to support investment decisions, budgeting, and performance backssments. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for portfolio optimization. Tax Compliance: Coordinate tax reporting and compliance for commercial properties. Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations. Staff Management: Interact with other accounting team members and property managers to resolve any accounting issues.
Led and mentored a team of accounting professionals. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Yardi System Optimization: Evaluate and enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls, with a focus on Yardi software. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. accreditation, and engagement Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners Qualifications Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain) Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English Our benefits meet you where you are.
