Below are some of the primary duties and responsibilities of this position. JOB DUTIES: Troubleshoot and repair heating systems (wall heaters, floor heaters, direct vent, FAUs). Installing new wall heaters, water heaters, AC systems, and FAUs. Repair and install in accordance with the appropriate building codes and standards.
Review combustion safety standards to ensure the home qualifies for measures prior to installation. Perform heating system and hot water heater safety inspections. Perform a variety of repairs such as carpentry, heating, sheet metal, plumbing or other duties relating to the weatherization program or assigned by supervisors. Perform a variety of physical activities
including but not limited to lifting up to 60 lbs. working on ladders, working overhead, climbing into attics and crawlspaces, climbing on roofs, crawling in attics, crawlspaces and other tight places.
Educate customers on energy conservation measures being installed. Ensure the customer is satisfied with the measures installed prior to leaving the home. Inspect all work to ensure Free Energy quality and installation standards are met. Maintain a clean and valid driver's license and comply with the Free Energy Vehicle Policy. Effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers and the public. Communicate with office staff daily to inform of any reschedules and/or inability to contact
customer. Perform daily maintenance and safety inspections on assigned vehicle.
Track material and inventory use as required. Display a responsible and considerate attitude toward the public and good judgment on the job. Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.
