This Excellent rolling chassis only needs motor and transmission to be completed as an excellent resto mod race car The Orange Paint job is one of the nicest we have ever seen.
The body is incredibly solid and has no rust. There is no major scratches or dents on the body to note. Door jams are super clean and all the glass is in good shape free
of any cracks or chips. Forged WELD racing wheels staggered with a skinny front are all mounted with Mickey Thompson drag racing tires. Aerospace component brakes are on the front and rear which are very expensive and hard to find are included with the sale.
Body is Tubbed super solid throughout 6 Point roll cage, 4 inch raised cowl hood, Auto meter gauges and really clean interior with new carpet. Open the trunk and find the fuel cell ready to go. Trunk has solid floors as well no rust in the trunk.

Engine and transmission was rebuilt last year and has approximately 2000 miles on them. Max wedge intake and carb set up was bought from A A Transmission this summer and added to the car during reassembly. Max wedge exhaust manifolds were put on the car at the same time of assembly. Starts, stops, and runs fine. Car has only 80 miles on it since it was restored. All four shocks are new. New aluminum radiator. All that is left to do on this car is a disc brake set up.

The engine bay, trunk and door jambs are still original paint. The chrome / brightwork is all original and in very good condition even all the glass is original including the windshield with its Ford logo. The interior of the Capri is
original and in amazing condition although I think that the drivers side seat bolster might have been repaired at some point. All the switches, gauges, windows and horn work as intended. The original owner kept a log of all work performed on the Capri from day one.
He also kept the warranty paperwork including build sheet. The original 2.6 litre V6 engine fires up quickly and runs smoothly with good oil pressure and no smoke. According to the original owners log the cylinder heads were rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago. The one thing that is definitely not original is the transmission. In 2004 the owner had the original 4 speed manual gearbox changed to a 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission
at a cost of $4,000. due to his health / age (easier to drive). The automatic works well and the car still feels responsive, I personally don't mind it but you could convert it back quite easily as the clutch pedal is still installed and the car was not cut up to install the auto box.
I forgot to mention a couple of things and need to clarify the mileage. Yes it does have 135991 miles on the car as per the records, the odometer only shows 35991 as it only has 5 digits. I recently installed new tires as can be seen in the photos as the ones on it were over 15 years old. the spare is an original made in Germany. The Capri comes with all documents and manuals.

1967 Ford Mustang Shelby Clone Coupe GT500 Tribute This beauty was started as a rust free CA car all its life!
The coupe was originally a 289 V8 but was later replaced with a 302. The body work is excellent: performed on a rotisserie, it shows laser straight body lines and gaps, paint category is excellent but not 100% flawless , 2 small imperfections
