1950 Mercury 2 Door Coupe in Midnight Blue with new Gray interior.
This is a beautifully restored car that has undergone a lot of work by the previous owner. It is an original California car that runs and drives amazing. The car has been garage kept and taken care of meticulously. It drives wonderfully and is stunning in person. I have gotten
non-stop compliments on this car any where I have taken it. The vibrant Blue color just has a certain type of presence that people love when seeing. Mechanicals This car starts up like clock-work. The flathead V8 engine and transmission have been restored just a few thousand miles ago.
It has been converted to a 12 volt system and features a new electric fuel pump, new wiring and alternator. The car runs very nicely and shifts smoothly through all the gears with the factory overdrive transmission. The dual exhaust has a very nice and throaty tone. Suspension seems very fresh and is smooth while driving. No noises or any other issues that we know of. This car has been well maintained and
the mechanicals are proof of that. Exterior The exterior is in great shape. This car has a nice higher quality paint job and is laser straight. All doors, trunk and hood open and close as they should.
All chrome is in excellent shape. The car has fiberglass fender skirts, front gravel pan and a rear valence panel. It rides on new Coker Radial tires as well. There is a tiny mark above the windshield. Interior The interior on this car is in excellent shape. The seats look like they've barely been used since the restoration. It has been upgraded with a nice sound system with the original in-dash radio integrated. All gauges and lights work as well. The interior driver side upper door trim is loose but easily fixable. This is an excellent car to drive and enjoy.

The Corniche is the Series One, steel bumper type.
It is fitted with the mighty 6.75L Rolls-Royce V-8 with twin Su Carburetors, paired with the Turbo Hydramatic 350 (sourced from General Motors). The four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs is augmented with a hydraulic self-levelling system (using the same system as did Citro ën,
but without pneumatic springs, and with the hydraulic components built under licence by Rolls-Royce), on the rear wheels only. Four wheel ventilated disc brakes are provided. The strong V-8 runs out smoothly, revs smooth and strong and maintains great oil pressure.
All gauges, switches and lights work properly. Please see the attached videos showing the operation and driving of the car. This is stunning surviving example of this classic. It is all original, showing very little wear from its 80,000+ miles. The paint and body are excellent, no scratches or dings. The interior, hood and boot are also in great shape. The Everflex roof is in like-new condition - Remarkable! The car includes
