It was in the early eighties that Rolls Royce (at that time the parent company of Bentley) was hoping to create something truly unique with the Turbo R.
They were trying to go back to Bentleys roots and create a sporty, and most importantly powerful, autobahn cruiser. A car that could go from 0-60 in 6.5 seconds with the torque to pull down
a building and the power to get to 155MPH. On top of that they wanted a car that could handle in the corners. Above all, they wanted a car that would be reliable. As Rolls Royce and Bentleys to that point were anything but. In their efforts Rolls Royce fitted stiffer suspension, a Garret Turbo, Mercedes mechanical fuel injection, and Hydraulic suspension.
Most of the wiring and electricals were sourced from Bosch and the Hydraulics were an improvement on the Citroen design. This car rides soft over bumps and stiffens up in the corners. It is the first iteration of dynamic suspension like many cars boast about today. However, this car is of the old school, hand built with attention to
the finest detail and cost being no object. The most expensive car in the world in 1989. This particular car has been fully serviced. With all new suspension accumulators, steering rack, fluid pumps for the hydraulics, brake pads and rotors, rear calipers, fuel injectors, all fluids and filters as well as brand new AVON Turbo Speed tires fitted last fall.

There is minor wear and tear from age, and some dents to back trunk from minor parking lot fender bender. I also put a pic in here where there's some vinyl ripping on driver door. We did as many pix as we could, to show you everything we can here this is one amazingly beautiful ride and we have nothing to hide here! We have replaced the following
in the last few months of ownership - tires, water pump, radiator, upper and lower hoses, heater core, and added freon for ac. We've had regular tuneups and oil changes, basically fixing anything and everything we could as we saw needed.
