Beautifully restored car.
Paint stripped to bare metal, redone in correct Bronze Mist Metallic. New Vinyl top, interior totally redone, using correct materials, leather inserts in the seats. All chrome on the car redone, bumpers, interior and exterior trim. Drivetrain not cosmetically restored, but all clean and neat. Transmission overhauled,
engine runs great. Many suspension, brake and steering parts replaced. A/C updated to 134a and blows nice and cold. All power accessories work, including windows, driver's seat, antenna, AM radio had FM added, but you can't see it, front and rear speakers.
Extra gauges added at lower left of dash for water temp and oil pressure (seemed like a good idea on a 53 year old car), but all dash lights and gauges work. Tilt wheel, correct factory floor mats and trunk mat, dealer accessory tissue dispenser and fuel door trim. Trunk redone using correct fabric. Windshield replaced, so no pits. Underside is original, some surface rust as expected, but no issues. Dual exhaust all in great shape.
Car starts right up and drives great, transmission shifts are perfect, runs at 180 degrees, unless it is really hot out, then maybe 190-200. A few scratches to the paint since it was done, but overall car is magnificent.
I doubt there is a better one, so if you want beautiful Electra coupe that needs nothing except to be driven, this is the car.

1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2 Door Sport Coupe, very low original miles, most highly documented in the world.
I believe this 57 is possibly one of the most highly documented ones in existence. It has a photo album full of all original documents including the following: -Original bill of sale from Luby Chevrolet in Forest Hills, NY. -Luby Chevrolet
service repair orders including things like a warranty replacement of a broken emblem when the car had less than 50 miles on it. Also many dealer oil changes and tune ups invoices. -Original drivers license of purchaser with the DOB year of 1885. -Many original NYS registrations and insurance cards throughout the 60âs and 70âs.
- A hand written log of all gas fill-ups with mileage, date and amount of gallons, prices and miles per gallon. -Christmas seal stamps from 1957 that were still in glove box. -The original brown cardboard sales contract sleeve from Luby Chevrolet. (There is also a reproduction one for show). -Many more original miscellaneous documents. This 57 has been in
the same family since brand new until recently. It was bought by a 72 year old man brand new from Luby Chevrolet in Forest Hills, NY (It still retains the original chrome dealer name plate on the trunk).
This man passed away in 1962 and the car was then used by his adult daughter as a Sunday car from that time until 1973 when the daughter purchased a brand new 73 Impala from the same dealer. The car still remained registered but was barely driven. In 1983 the daughters â son-in-law(a car fanatic) purchased the car, (he âs available to talk to). He first saw it in 1979 and it wasn ât sold to him until 83. When he got it in 1983 the 57 underwent a one year chassis on restoration
(all restoration photos available). The car only had 49k original miles on it at this time but the paint was hurting.
The car was stripped down to bare metal, all glass, chrome and trim removed, repainted in the original colors of Coronado Yellow and India Ivory(as per trim tag) with the correct acrylic enamel paint. Any rust was replaced with proper reproduction patch panels and lead, no bondo. All weather stripping and window felts were replaced. All the chrome was redone, including side window frames. The engine and transmission have NEVER been removed from this vehicle, just valve cover gaskets, hoses, belts, plugs, cap, rotor, points, wires were installed and the original radiator was re-cord and original carburetor was rebuilt as well as all fluids changed.
The interior, headliner, sun visors, door panels and carpets were re-done in the original fabrics. Five reproduction Silvertown wide white wall bias ply tires were installed. A new gas tank, battery tray and hold down, some front end work and brakes were also done. A dual exhaust with the proper cross over pipes was installed. The following reproduction parts were added: traffic viewer, skirts, nail guards, tissue dispenser, gravel shields, rear trunk trim, accessory spinners, chrome emergency brake handle, dual accessory side view mirrors and gold anodized factory accessory rear license plate frame, halogen T-3 headlights.
The works of the factory clock was even converted to quartz movement. The car also has period correct red crown tire air valve caps and blue dots in the taillight lens. It also retains its all original date coded E-Z Eye glass. The only non-original item on car is the brake master cylinder, but the original one with the metal cap is in a box in the trunk and comes with car, it would just need to be rebuilt and reinstalled. There is also a case of original Atlas oil filter cartridges that come with the vehicle.
The vehicle runs awesome and can be driven anywhere. Due to family and work obligations in the late 80âs, until present it has only been driven about once or twice a year to a local cruise night, otherwise it has sat in a climate controlled garage. It currently has about 58k original miles on it and still looks awesome!

This is a very rare car and is one of 297 built. The 67K miles are original miles and the car is numbers matching. I did a frame off restoration of this car and it is like new from front to rear. I turned every bolt on the restoration and so I know that it is in outstanding condition and rust free. It will be hard to find another one like this!

The sedans were produced in large numbers, but the coupe, sunroof coupes, and convertibles were much more expensive and sold in very limited numbers.
They were more luxurious and had tremendous presence, thanks to their almost baroque styling and significant amounts of chrome trim. The interiors were trimmed with high quality leather and wood,
while the cars were mechanically sophisticated with independent suspension and unitized construction on the later cars. This particular car is one of those rare sunroof coupe models, sold new in 1959 in New York, and equipped for the US market. The car is best described as an exceedingly straight, solid, and dry excellent âdriver â example with a wonderful body, fresh paint, and matching numbers.
It is equipped with the desirable 4-speed manual transmission vs. Mercedes â Hydrax unit which was plagued with mechanical problems. In part due to the fresh paint, the car makes a strong presentation. The dark color highlights the car âs excellent body with wonderful panel match
throughout. The chrome is generally very good, and for the most part looks to be original, with just minor weathering and ageing. The window glass and lenses are all in good order, as are the emblems.
The car sits on factory steel wheels with nice hubcaps. The interior has beautiful wood trim which has clearly been redone in the recent past. The headliner is very good, as is the leather seat and door panel upholstery, which appears to have also been redone at some point. The carpets are average, showing minor wear and discoloration. The engine bay and underside, while not overly detailed, are very complete with the battery hold down and VDO windshield washer bottle, and are in keeping
with a good driver presentation. The car runs and drives well with ample power and a smooth operating transmission and driveline.
The brakes work well, the suspension is soft and compliant, and steering is accurate. Included with the sale is a full book package including the supplement, service book, owner âs manual, and parts catalog, as well as the tool roll with tools, and the spare wheel with tire.

This Alfa built at the end of the Giulietta model line alongside the new Giulia line, the car was delivered with option from the new Giulia : front disc brakes, a five speed transmission and special high lift cams. Starting as normale,
previous owner installed a Mondial kit with moly pistons and rings, twin Weber DCOE (bearing throttle shafts) carburetors with a custom air intake. Breathing is improved with high lift velocity cams with a custom oversize intake valves running in silicon bronze valve guides.
Exhaust was through standard valves in silicone bronze valve guides and a veloce exhaust manifold (the shankel GTV manifold was tried, but was not as good). All this resulted in a dyno rating exceeding 112 HP (the 112 HP was before the more radical veloce cams were installed). Additional changes included a custom rectangular steering wheel, electronic assisted ignition (disconnected for HMSA) and oil pressure relief

It has a nice new rebuilt 350 crate motor with about 400 horsepower in it and sounds awesome. This car has had a complete overhaul in the past few years. Everything was rebuilt. The motor trans and rear end are all in great shape. The exterior is in great shape. It has a BEAUTIFUL color Blue paint job with silver Z28
stripes, It has some imperfection in a couple spots but not a rust bucket. I use my cars so it might have a couple little dings, nicks and a scratches here and there. All the body panels are original. The floor pans and trunk pan are all original in great shape.
There was never any patches panels installed on the body or the floors. It âs hard to find a car these days that is not all cut up with all aftermarket panels that don ât fit right. This is all GM. Everything electrical works on this car. All the gauges work. It has a set of extra gauges oil and water mounted below the dash that also work correctly. The wipers, radio, horn, heat, lights, blinkers all work correctly. The
interior is in excellent shape. No rips or tears anywhere. No excessive wear anywhere. Dash has no cracks or repairs. Headliner is in great shape. Carpet is clean with no tears or stains.
The brakes andsuspension were are redone this year. The tires are brand new and look great. Wheels are original Camaro wheels with no curb rash. This car is quick and drives and handles really nice. There is NO shakes or rattles when driving. Brand new exhaust from front to back. Sounds awesome. Overall this a beautiful car, runs and drives great and again it's a super clean car. You won't find too many in this shape that weren't chopped up and hacked on since 1972. This car is always stored indoors. It's a beautiful car and you will be very happy with finding a rust free car. Clean title!
