Only 9233 were made. Nicely done restoration. This car is very solid. Original body panels and floor boards with no rust. I have rebuilt the transmission, new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, gaskets, plugs, points, motor mounts. Replaced the radiator with an aluminum one. Original is a box and will
go with the car. I dropped it two inches front and rear. The front I used new 91 Ford Aerostar front springs. They are the exact same size as the original's. Cut one coil off and whala 2 inch drop. The rear has the 2 inch blocks. The original front springs come with the car as well.
I have the original birds eye head lights too. The previous owner completely rewired with OEM color key wires. The sunvisor is an original Fulton from the 40's painted to match. This is a great car, solid dependable.

This Willys is very complete and very nice daily driver.
Original. Has stock six cylinder Tornado over head cam engine. This engine was available for the last three years of this model. I have been told that there is only 5 known examples of this model. I believe it was a special factory order. The barn doors and the stock engine makes this
a rare vehicle. This engine produced 140 HP. With the addition of a overdrive, this wagon will drive at freeway speeds. Five new 16 inch tires, all rubber parts are new, all chrome is new except the bumpers. New shocks, new brakes, new u-joints, many, many new parts.
Have electric windshield wiper motor, not installed. New clutch, disk and release bearing. The clutch needs adjustment. All new wiring. New exhaust system, front to rear. New headliner, new seat covers, carpet, etc. Has original oil bath air filter. This in its self is rare. This Willys draws attention wherever it goes.

This 1949 HUDSON SUPER SIX SEDAN is a nicely reconditioned car that will drive to any destination.
You could start driving this car every day. It runs and drives well and has a cruising speed of 55-60 MPH. It was recently repainted the original color of Jersey Blue, now two toned with Brigantine blue on the lower panels. It has a fresh mirror
finish over driver grade bodywork. The car is very strong structurally, with very little rust. There is a patch in the front of both rocker panels. The exterior chrome is mostly decent original with a NOS hood ornament. The front stainless trim is freshly polished.
The bumpers are a bit damaged as are some of the lower moldings. (see photos) The car was resurrected from the Barn last year and the stuck original engine replaced with a strong running 232 engine from a 1951 Hudson. It has been treated to a new clutch from Wildrick Restoration. The fuel tank was cleaned and coated, a new water pump, fuel pump and a complete tune up were done. A total brake job was done to include a repack
of the bearings and seals replaced as needed. The center steering pivot was rebuilt, New front Shocks and the front end checked. There is also a new aluminized exhaust system.
The original dash Woodgrained panels were retained, but the balance of the grained window sashes were painted and the entire interior reupholstered in period materials. All of the lights, Gauges and horns work. The Clock and Radio are inop. The coolant hoses to the heater were not reconnected. I think these are the only defects. There is a Nice Matched set of Diamondback Classic Radial Wide Whitewall Collector car tires on powder coated wheels including a matching spare. This car is presentable and runs strong! It is currently Licensed, Insured and on the road. It Rides, Drives, Handles and Stops very well! This car is offered at much less than restoration costs!
