Performs research and analysis on matters of tax law, to interpret specific Federal tax laws, regulations, congressional committee reports, revenue rulings, revenue procedures, pending legislation, and translate these matters into tax forms, instructions, explanatory publications and other materials to enable taxpayers to understand and meet their filing and other tax responsibilities. Prepares drafts of selected new or revised material

to assure that needs of internal customers are met, and to assure that the Federal tax laws are administered effectively. Coordinates the interests of the various Service organizational units.

Reviews and assists with suggestions from taxpayers, tax practitioner, industry, public interest and other groups, and internal customers, regarding simplification, burden reduction, and other improvements to division products. Assists in developing specific paperwork reduction, and other improvements to division products. Recommends creation of additional products to reflect tax law, etc. chances, and to address previously unmet customer needs. Provides assistance on tax law matters to other Service

functions, including review of products dealing with tax law matters created by other functions.

Prepares tax forms, instructions, and other explanatory materials in both English and Spanish. Requirements Conditions of Employment Telework Eligible Positions : Telework eligible positions do not guarantee telework. Employees must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements (e. g. reporting at least twice a pay period to your assigned Post of Duty (POD) ) and supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program.
