is a OPS RN position under the supervision of the Senior Community Health Nursing Supervisor with the Florida Department of Health in Lee County. The incumbent provides public health nursing services for clients in FDOH -Lee clinics. This position is classified as a sensitive position.

Provides comprehensive nursing in all FDOH Lee clinics and community settings as warranted. These services include: childhood and adult immunizations, reproductive health services, counseling/testing, health screening, health education, referrals and follow-up of the referrals, timely and thorough documentation, and collection of laboratory specimens. SUPPORT SERVICES: Maintains comprehensive quality records, collects and reports pertinent data to advanced practice registered

nurses and physicians; provides appropriate case follow-up; participates in case conferences; confers with other professionals; formulates and evaluates care plans, assists in record reviews; recognizes and understands the changes in the community and nursing practice which affects community health unit programs/plans; serves as staff advisor to student affiliates and new staff nurses.
