Your Role Graduate, Mine Engineering - Graduate Development Program Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mine We are seeking a motivated recent graduate to join our CC&V Mine Technical Services Team. This role will report to the Engineering Supervisors in the Technical Services Team working through various capacities including Surveying,
Ore Control, Geotechnical Engineering, Mine Planning, and Voids Engineering. Essential Duties Adhere to safety best practices as outlined by department and site policies and procedures Produce short range or Drill and Blast plans that meet planning objectives and follow Medium Term mine plans.
Produce designs for roads, dumps, and mine pits to optimize operation and improve execution of the mining sequence. Analyze collected data to develop and implement process improvement initiatives that improve safety, production, or costs. Track and analyze results and make recommendations for improvements to designs, and maintain a drill/blast database and provide information for month end reporting
Work closely with the Mine Operations Department to ensure practicality of designs Work with Ore Control to ensure proper material routing and grade estimation to meet mine and gold production metrics.
Training & Experience B. Sc. degree or Technical Diploma, Mining Engineering preferred but other related degrees will be considered (Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology) Recent Graduate (December 2022 – May 2024) Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening) Proficiency with mine planning computer software preferred (Mine Sight, Auto CAD) Willingness and capability to work in and adapt to a fast paced production oriented setting Ability to positively interact with co-workers and team members Ability to work within a diverse mix of cultures and a dynamic environment Working Conditions The work schedule for this position is 4 on, 3 days off, working 10-hour days.
