Duties 1. Responsible for setting teaching environments, upkeep of equipment, maintain classroom supply and overall cleanliness of the center2. Maintaining child individual cubby space, cots, personal property3. Attend training seminars and conferences to maintain knowledge of child care advances and acquiring a minimum of 30 training hours per year 4. Effectively communicating with families and staff both oral and written communications.5.
Assist with monthly lesson planning using Learning Through Play Curriculum, Individualized planning and Enrichments6.
Documentation forms required for safety of children, their diapering needs and any accident/incidents7. Maintaining all licensing requirements within the classroom, on the playground and on field trips.8. Maintain/Mentor- Positive Discipline Policy, Emotional Intelligence, Spanish/ English Language and the Arts.9. Teaching/ Mentoring/ Working with children in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of Early Steps Bilingual Preschool10. Perform all tasks assigned by the Director or Assistant Director and the Lead Teacher11. Most importantly treating all children, families, staff, volunteers and visitors with dignity and respect.
