Provide manufacturing engineering roll in new product development, current products and assembly lines, as well as non- production functions. Assist the Manufacturing Engineers in the below accountabilities: Perform manufacturing engineering activities supporting new product development to ensure the product design conforms to the principles of DFA.

Develop assembly procedures and assembly process implementation from product development into manufacturing. This includes designing, fabricating, qualifying assembly line equipment, fixtures, and tools as needed to build company product to design specifications. Processes

and production line must be laid out as needed to achieve efficiency targets. Manufacturing Engineer needs to determine labor stand time needed to build company product during development phase.

Lead lean initiatives including demand-driven continuous flow, 5-S, and elimination of wastes through the use of lean principles. Track progress by the use of setting goals and tracking progress to ensure goals are met. Maintain and develop work instructions to insure process and equipment are maintained and in place to consistently produce products to specifications. Work with shop floor employees to consistently fulfill assembly plan. Research, develop, and implement cost reductions on products

and operational processes. Analyze material flow from suppliers through production and distribution.

Work with materials department and supplier to implement changes. Implement process changes to improve one time through yield and reduce line scrap. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce line failures. Work with internal departments and external suppliers as needed to prevent recurrence. Perform other duties and assume accountability as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives. Relationship To Others: Manufacturing Engineers: Work direction. Manufacturing Manager: Weekly reviews. Tool Room, Maintenance, and Outside Tool Makers, Installers: Provide work direction as needed to fabricate and install equipment, tools, jigs, and fixtures.

Operations, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Suppliers: Main contact points in making, qualifying, improving, and resolving processes as needed to make product. Dimensions of Position: Assist manufacturing engineering in supporting new product development. Includes development of assembly methods, tooling, assembly line layout, and capacity analysis. Provide work direction to assembly and warehouse personnel. Education and Experience: Education In pursuit or has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Degree.

As a Manufacturing Engineer (Drill Bits) The Woodlands, TX you will be responsible for: This position will help to accelerate Digital transformation of Drill Bits organization, develop new processes and work with the Manufacturing and AMO plants on a day to day basis.

This role will own the development, deployment, automation and maintenance of systems for used for creating and consuming data from databases. This will include GUI development, Tableau report development, database maintenance (SQL), query creation, and optimization of reporting tools.

In addition this role will train to users on the systems developed. The position will also be responsible for leading and participating in projects across the Drill Bit manufacturing and AMO organization.

These projects may be for new processes, optimization of existing processes or a cross functional opportunity. This position will develop electronics and electrical hardware/processes such as low voltage data acquisition systems and the enclosures to house them. This may include both the design and construction of the boxes, ie soldering, wiring etc. This position will lead Lean and Six Sigma projects across the Drill Bits organization. (Green Belt Required) The position will be responsible

for taking Engineering specifications and developing processes to meet the criteria.

To be successful in this role you will: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Prior experience in Programming in any language OR hands on experience in Tooling, Welding, Manuel Lathe, or Milling preferred.
