Essential Duties and Responsibilities Continuously control building access, guarding against unauthorized entry and activities Monitor video surveillance system and oversee various computer-related tasks Monitor electronic access control system, opening doors, creating accounts and assigning access.
Conducts screening using metal detectors, hand wands and x-ray units. Regularly maintain various registers/security logs Regularly patrol facility by constant
walking and climbing stairs Identify and correct safety/security issues while escalating issues as needed to Security Supervisor Provide excellent customer service experiences to enhance experience Ability to handle radios, speaking opening and professionally demonstrating strong verbal and interpersonal skills Follow safety and security policies, programs and procedures with the ability to manage high pressure situations Operate vehicle gates, fire alarms and other life safety systems Work collaboratively with San Jose Emergency Services as needed Shift Information Shift lengths vary depending on business needs and can be up to 8 hours any day and time of the week including weekends and holidays.
