SIPRNET, Joint Worldwide Communications System (JWICS), and CV2 computer and peripheral systems located within assigned unit Special Access Program Facility (SAPFs) in coordination with the assigned unit Communications Flight.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in the Information Technology or Computer Security field with two years of experience; or Associate's Degree in the Information Technology or Computer Security field with three years of experience; or five years of experience with Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, and workstations. Required certified Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 IAW DOD Directive 8570.01-M. Essential Duties: The Information Systems
Security Officer will perform duties including but not limited to the following: Perform duties as Client Systems Technician (CST) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, Joint Worldwide Communications System (JWICS), and CV2 computer and peripheral systems located within assigned unit Special Access Program Facility (SAPFs) in coordination with the assigned unit Communications Flight.
Provide support, for monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) problems pertaining to the assigned unit computer and network environment. Configure and manage enclave network environment IAW customer support policies, procedures, and standards.
Develop and update local IA related customer support policies, procedures, and standards. Assist with development and maintenance SAP IA education and training program to include training of end users. Ensure all information systems (IS) are operated, maintained, and disposed of IAW SAP directives and the System Security Plan. Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS. Ensure configuration management (CM) for security relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented.
Ensure compliance with Emanations Security (EMSEC) Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) requirements. Conduct audits of all classified and unclassified IS to ensure compliance with established directives. Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored. Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals. Ensure 100% control of all electronic media within assigned unit SAP Facilities (SAPFs).
Perform COMSEC Responsible Officer duties for assigned unit and maintain sub-account of SAP equipment, to include Tactical Local Area Network Encryptor (TACLANE) and Secure Telephone Equipment (STE). Perform IT Equipment Custodian duties for all Supply and IT equipment accounts within assigned unit Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). Knowledge, Skill and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing, in person and through technological mediums such as email, videoconferencing, and by telephone. Working understanding of common Microsoft Office suite programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to complete the essential duties of the position Ability to work virtually using common technological mediums such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom Position is contingent upon award of contract to Vector CSP.

Supervise one or two junior ISSOs to perform IA, Risk and Vulnerability backssment duties as assigned Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant experience Bachelor's degree Ability to obtain DHS Suitability Must be US Citizen CISSP strongly preferred Proven experience with NIST 800-53, 800-53A, 800-37 and 800-30 RMF experience Experience with Interconnection Security Agreements Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Works independently and collaboratively to resolve challenges facing the security team quickly and completely Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management.
