Our Business: Sierra Instruments has been delivering market-leading gas flow measurement products for more than 45 years. We design and manufacture high-performance thermal mass flow controllers for nearly every gas, liquid, or steam application. We are committed to partnering
with biomedical scientists and manufacturers to help fight COVID-19. We provide critical instrumentation for the gas flow control systems for bioreactors to quickly scale vaccine development from lab to pilot to full-scale production.
Our mass flow controllers support testing respiratory equipment in the critical ramp up period. Your Role: The position of Assembly Technician reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for the assembly and testing of electronic and machined components. Position Requirements Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Typically requires 1 year of related experience. Ability to read
schematics and drawings Understanding of electronics Able to handle chemicals such as paints, adhesives, epoxy and lead Ability to read, write and understand English Good math and computer skills Must be able to work, day and nightshifts and weekends.
Overtime (mandatory overtime) may be required at times. Requires standing, walking, use of hands and sitting for extended periods of time Must meet vision requirements to perform verification of assembly, soldering and distinguish colors Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs correctly and consistently Soldering electro-mechanical and electronic products Ability to work directly with a Lead and follow instructions Note : This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
