Patrol and Emergency Rescue Provides emergency rescue and transportation of sick and injured domestic and wild animals. May be required to assist the Honolulu Police Department in enforcement

Promotes a humane and caring attitude toward all animals through education to the public and example of proper care of animals. Vehicle Maintenance. Responsible for vehicle and equipment cleaning, disinfecting and restocking according to Hawaiian Humane established procedures. Individual Growth. Performs Euthanasia. Euthanizes animals in emergency situations when necessary according to established HHS procedures.

Administers Medication. Reports any animal in critical condition to veterinary staff. Administers Medication as directed by vet staff. Shelter Security. Activates Security alarms at night and turns them off in the morning according to established protocol. Humane Investigator Prerequisite. Competencies in this role may be considered for Humane Investigator Position if and when available. JOB CONDITIONS : Work Environment: Indoors under regular office conditions minimally; outdoors in all types of weather; and in truck the majority of shift; and on foot. cleaning issues and maintain chemical balancing. Respond and resolve maintenance issues that affect wave quality and performance in a timely manner. Ensure the work is performed correctly and follows all approved procedures. Communicate accurately and in a timely manner, matters which pertain to the operational status/readiness of the wave system.

Maintain machines and equipment in safe operating order. Make repairs as appropriate or determine when vendors should be contacted for servicing. Reads and interprets safety labels and safety data sheets (SDS ) Order chemicals and pump room supplies as needed on a regular basis. Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and DOH standards within

the Maintenance Department at The Line Up. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain proficiency in all areas as it pertains to their area(s) of responsibilities.

 Qualifications Possess knowledge of Pool operating procedures and pump room engineering. Must be able to chemically balance wave pool per local health code. Certified Pool Operator (CPO), and/or Aquatics Facilities Operator (AFO) preferred but not required. Next Gen system experience (preferred but not required) Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrate ability to work with all levels of employees and management, and willingness to give assistance to co-workers. Demonstrate ability to

work independently under pressure. Personal attributes Exceptional work ethic.

Ability to multi-task. Physical Requirements Exposure to temperatures relative to the various systems. Outdoor work conditions will involve weather, noise, and hazardous materials. Required to work in confined spaces. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.   The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
