with identifying strengths and personal resources to aid in their recovery and helping individuals set and achieve recovery goals Participates as a member of the treatment team, giving input on client Wellness Plans and treatment team decisions Until fully certified, Peer Specialists complete trainings, attend team meetings, shadow IHSs and other PSSs, and, with Supervisory direction, see clients, both in supervised and independent fashion, but do not bill Medicaid for services until full certification is achieved Assist client with transportation as clinically indicated; Driving is an essential function of this position
has a great opportunity for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our inpatient/ outpatient substance use treatment facility. Individuals within this role will oversee clients safety and well-being, using Compass Champion Behavior. These individuals must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities include: Engages clients in group education to assist with recovery process Valid unrestricted driver s license is required. The DSP will transport client as clinically indicated Update medication log as needed, while storing appropriately Monitor clients as they self-administer medication DSP will be responsible for ensuring new clients are orientated to processes
and procedures for best possible care Trainings and team meetings are a requirement. DSP must participate/conduct disaster drill on each shift and observe Unit Manual Policies Collect and process Urine Drug Screenings DSP must be able to respond accordingly to a crisis situation as they arise On-site training provided.
