Summary This role directs and coordinates all functions within the Plant Quality Assurance Department and oversees the auditing of QA programs at the plant level. Facilitates and or participates in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance related programs such as HACCP, SSOP’s, and GMP’s.

Assure USDA/FDA directives are followed. It supervises the functions of product audits and cuttings, the development and maintenance of division procedures and specifications. This role uses skills and knowledge to oversee the development of new equipment strategies as well as the development of extensions to existing

line products. Statistical and processing knowledge are used to support all departments in the continued building of quality and production strategies. Key Responsibilities Ensure that the interface with other support groups is conducted in a manner that is conducive with operational goals.

Ensure compliance to state, federal, and local regulations. Dotted line responsibility for approximately 20 employees (QA technicians, Micro Technicians) in the monitoring and testing of a wide variety of ingredients and finished product. Execute programs, communicate effectively, anticipate and react to problems so as to minimize product loss or deviations from established standards. Supervise the

maintenance of records and distribution of analysis information.

Conduct oneself in a professional manner and ensures personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the Company. Ensure that additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and Division standards. Supervise microbiology laboratory and interpret results. Responsible for lab safety. Coordinate plant and laboratory equipment calibration and certification programs. Maintain systems for checking and verifying process compliance, including, but not limited to: SPC, HACCP, Quality Systems, Formula Control, etc.

Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B. A. or B. S. ) from 4 year college or university Relevant Experience 3+ years related experience and/or training Required Certifications Other Information Thorough knowledge of HACCP program and USDA SSOPs. Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations. Also have basic knowledge of the budget process. Degree in food science (or related discipline), chemistry, biology, or microbiology preferred. Performs developmental, experimental and production aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks in a field of specialization; electrical / electronic, mechanical or instrumentation. Instructs, coordinates and performs the duties / functions of Flight Test personnel in area(s) of assignment. Determines the sequence for installing, removing, maintaining, repairing or fabricating critical aircraft components, or electrical / electronic, mechanical or instrumentation systems. Performs testing, rework and repair in various fields of specialization.

Applies shop theory and skills in accomplishing assigned tasks working from incomplete engineering, electronic data, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, technical orders and written and verbal instructions. Works from blueprints, engineering orders, schematics, repair manuals and other technical documents on aircraft electrical / electronic, mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulics, power plant, structures or instrumentation systems. Performs drilling, reaming, fitting, assembly, trimming, riveting, splicing, insulating and other associated duties as assigned.

Performs electrical, mechanical or instrumentation maintenance, repair and testing in support of specific flight test projects. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains various types of complex aircraft equipment, components, devices or systems. Performs modifications and adjustments as necessary. Notifies lead personnel or supervision of any / all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product. Checks work for completeness and accuracy. Performs Production Accountability duties associated with the processing, verification, quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability.

May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with completion of assignment. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned, to include composite repair, assisting with ground support equipment, aircraft ground operations, and aircraft preservation tasks. May travel for training or other job-related activities, to include occasional work assignments at offsite locations. Basic Qualifications: For Level 3, 4 years related experience or 4 years with related Associate Degree.

For Level 4, 6 years related experience or 6 years with related Associate Degree. Ability to obtain Do D Secret Clearance. Ability to perform moderately to strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in an outside environment at various times of year. Able to travel ~25% of the time. Must be willing and able to support 4/10 , Mon-Thur schedule. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on the Global Hawk or Triton program, supporting aircraft ground operations, maintenance and/or modifications.

Experience reading and using engineering drawings and data in performance of duties. Experience with composite material repair. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
