A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOST In this full- or part-time food service hospitality position, you promptly and cheerfully greet guests as they enter the restaurant and seat them as soon as possible. As needed, you maintain a waiting list. Making an effort to ensure a quality dining experience, you rotate seating stations and handle complaints as well as thank guests and invite them to return.
Your friendly personality and professional impression keep our guests coming back for more and help you maintain work relationships. Additionally, you answer the phone, take messages, and complete to-go orders while maintaining a high level of customer service. You also handle money in a responsible manner by maintaining guest checks. To ensure a pristine-looking restaurant, you perform restroom cleaning duties and reset tables by cleaning chairs, booths, and floors.
