Education / Experience Requirement: Bachelors’ degree in Chemistry and at least 2 years of related professional experience Experience running the similar or equivalent equipment: High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS), Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), Bomb Calorimetry (HEX), and Karl Fischer Moisture Analyzer, including method development, the ability to decipher the test outputs, calibrate/troubleshoot
the test equipment.
Position Duties: Conduct laboratory tests and integrate test results into comparative analysis of past data and baselines Operate Thermal Chemistry equipment (DSC, TGA, DMA, & TMA) Analytical Chemistry experience preferred Ability to clearly articulate in report format the test results using graphs, pictures, and observations in a timely manner.
Solid writing skills a must. Strong presentation skills a plus. Assist Chemistry Lab Lead with tasks to ensure that the Chemistry Lab is properly maintained Assist Chemistry Lab Lead to prepare for inventories, inspections or audits Hands-on experience with energetic materials and other hazardous chemicals Must be able
to obtain and maintain a level of QUAL/CERT Team Member status for handling and testing energetic materials Ability to communicate effectively with Chemistry Lab Lead, Lab Manager, Sponsor (customer), and other lab personnel.
