Analyze plans, reports and regulations to determine training needs and

recommend program changes. Review mobilization plans and directives issued by higher headquarters and monitor implementation. Conduct inspections to ensure training exercises are in accordance with Army Organizational Inspection Program procedures.

Review reports to assure accomplishments of training program objectives are met. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing military training guidance to advise management on training requirements; tracking status of unit and/or individual training to ensure compliance; monitoring a training budget; and submitting training applications for military personnel.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OREducation: Masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Organizational Management and Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Management.

ORCombination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Responsibilities: Develop customized training programs based on the needs and goals of each dog and owner. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional dog trainer. Duties includes, but are not limited to: Delivering in-person classroom training throughout NYS, virtual classroom/online classroom training using e-learning/webinar technology, and technical assistance programs. Participating in the planning and development of training delivery plans and curricula for a variety of performance-based training, including updating, maintaining,

and developing instructional materials (print and digital) and performing research for and assisting in the design of curriculum, related materials, and visual aids.

Completing assignments independently and within team settings. Providing coaching, mentoring, and leadership to training staff. Monitoring training deliveries and materials to assure quality and conformance with project objectives. Conducting training needs backssments. Interpreting/using training evaluation data to revise/modify training programs and delivery plans. Working knowledge of the NYS social service delivery system and public welfare programs or experience in the delivery of specific public welfare programs, such as Temporary Assistance, SNAP, Employment & Advancement Services, HEAP, and Child Support Enforcement, or the administrative/fair hearings process, welfare fraud investigations, and audit/quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrated proficiencies using Microsoft products, particularly Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, Share Point, and Edge, and document and presentation templates. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to work variable days and work hours and travel regularly throughout NYS to deliver training and attend meetings, including travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation.
