These locations provide Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care to honorably discharged veterans, including, in some instances, their spouses, widows, or Gold Star Families. We are now accepting applications for a part-time RN2 for our Washington Soldiers Home. In this role, you'll assist in the delivery of nursing and nursing related care to our residents. In addition, you'll be responsible for monitoring assigned

residents in accordance with standards of practice, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect.

Some of what you will be doing: Directing and supervising the care given by nursing personnel in assigned areas; planning, overseeing and evaluating their work. Under physicians' orders passing medications, administers, monitors, and records treatments, and backsses the condition of the resident. Ability to speak, read, and write in English for medical charts. Preferred: Long term care experience. One year of experience as an RN. Articulate methods and practices of nursing and restorative care; personal hygiene and sanitation methods, record keeping, report preparation, infection control procedures and resident rights.

Experience in backssing, evaluating, and participating in the development of appropriate plans of care. Plan, implement, and document appropriate discharge planning for residents when appropriate.
