Veterinary Assistants at GSVS work alongside licensed veterinary technicians, emergency doctors, and veterinary specialists and have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools to provide the best possible care. On any given day, you can expect to do the following as a veterinary assistant: Provide

support to doctors and technicians Restrain patients for exams and procedures Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing Monitor and document patients vital signs Assist with obtaining radiographs Properly use and maintain hospital equipment Once these skills are mastered and trust with the team is built, with continued oversight and training, you can expect to begin learning how to: Perform medical math calculations Provide high level nursing care to all patients Administer medications Place IVCs and obtain blood samples from various access points About you: Willingness to work varied hours and schedules.
