As a Biologist, GS-0401-12/13, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Work with biologists across multiple agencies to draft planning and backssment documents

for humpback chub and other species managed by the Recovery Program. Conduct ongoing review of and provide direction/oversight for program elements, evaluate their technical sufficiency and effectiveness, and provide periodic reports to Recovery Program committees.

The incumbent will coordinate Federal partnerships with interested Tribes on efforts to address Tribal native plant materials development (NPMD) needs

and improve Tribal capacity to restore lands and enhance landscape resiliency with ecologically and climatically appropriate native plant materials. As a Fish and Wildlife Biologist your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Develop partnerships with private, tribal, State, and Federal agencies and other Service programs to develop and implement programs to collect, propagate, and use appropriate native plant material (seeds, seedlings, and whole plants) in restoration projects conducted on public, private, and tribal lands.

Serve as a Regional contact between Service conservation program coordinators and Tribal Nations for all aspects of native plant materials, development,

and habitat conservation activities. Formulate correspondence, comments, reports, recommendations, comprehensive strategies, and a variety of other written and oral communication products to identify, explain, and promote Service positions and policies with regards to native plant restoration and habitat conservation issues.
