Demonstrates the ability to use critical thinking skills in the implementation of all phases of the nursing process. He/she actively participates in patient care quality and performance improvement through data collection and aggregation as assigned.
The RN serves as a professional role model as a caregiver, mentor, teacher and resource for students, peers and other providers on the health care team. Must be able to wear a respirator mask and other personal protective apparel as indicated in the provision of patient care. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP See Table of Organization. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE The RN is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an AD degree/Diploma and is currently licensed to practice as a professional nurse in the appropriate state.
Must be able to complete job related competencies as deemed necessary to the performance of the RN role in the nursing department of employment. Valid RN license AHA BLS is required. Additional advanced life support courses may be required for the RN in specific critical care departments including but not limited to AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, AAP NRP.
