The position will be located in Dulles, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for research, requirements analysis

and systems architecture, design, coding, test bench design, verification, synthesis and place, & route for our Command and Data Handling (CD&H) products. The qualified applicant will join the Electrical Engineering Avionics department that specializes in FPGA/ASIC for space applications.

This is a dual level requisition which can be filled as a Principal Digital Engineer or Sr Principal Digital Engineer Basic Qualifications: Principal Digital Engineer 5 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline; 3 years with Masters; 0 years

with a Ph D Must have hands on experience with VHDL within the past 3 years Well versed in VHDL design for an aerospace environment or space application Proficient in FPGA design flow including items such as RTL/gate level simulation, synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis, and power analysis US Citizen Must possess an active/current Top-Secret/SCI Basic Qualifications: Sr.

This position will be in Dulles, VA. In this role you will be responsible for designing test equipment (test racks, fixtures,

Generate review material and support design reviews for the test equipment in development. Hardware design of component test equipment (CTE) and automated test equipment (ATE) to test space vehicle components Be responsible for ensuring that the technical requirements, cost, and schedule for the CTE/ATE system development is achieved As part of a design team, be responsible for the end-to-end design, debug, test, and certification of CTE/ATE system Have the responsibility for the documentation development and release of the CTE/ATE system Generate Certification Test Procedures Support of the test and debug for flight and non-flight spacecraft electronic circuit card assemblies (CCA) and boxes To be successful in this role you should have: Experience designing test hardware Fundamental understanding of electrical circuit schematics Working knowledge of Visio, CREO, and/or other mechanical design packages Good communication skills Experience working in a team Experience leading junior engineers Experience documenting and developing cable drawings/wiring diagrams In this role, you will join a team of 2-4 EGSE Engineers interfacing with the spacecraft subsystem engineers, to obtain design requirements.

The next phase will be spent on integration and troubleshooting any problems on the product you helped to design and build to test the UUT.

Summary: Implement mission/flight assurance plans for individual spacecraft flight hardware programs addressing design, manufacturing, integration and test activities in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Work as a member of an integrated

product team with Orbital ATK Safety & Mission Assurance staff in hardware and software quality assurance, supplier assurance, configuration management, EEE parts engineering, materials engineering and occupational safety to address technical issues, meet program requirements and ensure mission success.

Interface with customers, vendors, and with Orbital ATK Manufacturing, Integration & Test and Engineering organizations to identify and resolve mission/flight assurance issues. Provide support to program Flight Assurance Manager in review of supplier and internal design/manufacturing/test documentation and processes, identification of non-conformance root causes, recommendation of effective corrective actions, and customer technical communication.

Qualifications: Current TS clearance. Two years experience in the manufacture, integration and/or test of aerospace systems or sub-systems in a classified environment. Prior experience working in a multi-disciplinary technical team devoted to hardware production for delivery to a customer/end user. Strong communication and computer (MS Office or equivalent) skills. Proactive personality with a strong commitment to mission success. Preferred: Current TS/SSBI. Experience in a flight/mission assurance or systems engineering role for one or more spacecraft production programs.

Experienced and confident in interfacing with subcontractor quality/mission assurance personnel, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) Systems, 3D printing technology and/or mission operations disciplines. Orbital ATK Space Systems Group designs, manufactures and operates small and medium-class spacecraft for communications, imaging, scientific, exploration and national security space applications.

The Group is leading supplier of space components that power and enable satellites of all classes, provides technical engineering services to government agencies and laboratories, and is developing exciting new satellite servicing and advanced space flight technologies. Overview: Perform tasks which

include circuit development, performance modeling, end-to-end simulation and implementation of digital data acquisition and control circuits for use in satellites and other space vehicles.

Work will include design, verification and testing of detailed design work targeting specific hardware platforms. The modeling and simulation work will include a combination of tackling challenging digital design and algorithm implementation problems. Work in a lab environment on a variety of platforms including Microsemi (Actel) and Xilinx FPGAs. Education Requirement: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics. Required Qualifications: • Minimum overall experience

of 10 years with a minimum of 4 years experience implementing digital signal processing systems • Candidate should have experience with FPGAs, VHDL coding, microprocessors, analog to digital converters, analog multiplexers and digital subsystems.

Candidate should be familiar with VHDL design and logic verification tools including Libero, Riviera, Timing Designer, and Model Sim. Candidate should have experience with digital design capture and verification tools such as Cadence and PSpice • Ability to work individually or in teams is necessary • Requires excellent written and oral presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Candidate should have programming experience and familiarity with computer programming languages such as C/C++, JAVA, Python and hardware description language (VHDL preferred) and also a variety of operating systems (Windows, LINUX).

Previous exposure to various digital system hardware components and respective testing methods using logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, vector signal analyzers, and spectrum analyzers is desirable.
