This bike was acquired last year and I have done a complete restoration.
The rims and spokes are new, OE style in front and rear. New Dunlop tires, tubes and rim protectors. The frame and swing arm are powder coated. The carburetors ( jetting 112.5 main/ 17.5 pilot), engine, gages, and handle bar switch were restored to very high standards.
The engine has new zinc or OE re-plated fasteners throughout. It has electronic points and electronic regulator and rectifier. I polished the Fork Lowers, engine covers, rear brake drum and sprocket hub. It has an OE master cylinder ( with plastic still on the lever) and caliper that have been rebuilt.
It has an OE air box, owners manual and wire harness. The paintwork is from Japan via Z-1 Parts and is beautiful.950% of the reproduction parts are from Z-1 and are very nice: seat, exhaust, rear shocks, tank and side cover badges, fuel cap and petbird, electronic regulator/rectifier, both fenders, stator and cover, cables, 73 style headlight mounts, and more small parts. Anywhere I could
find stainless reasonably I have used it. I have scuffed the 6 and 8 mm bolt heads to look zinc. The rest of the hardware on the bike has been re-plated in zinc or chromed.
I am not sure of the exact mileage, I have the gages restored and left at what ever miles are on them. There is no tool kit. Right foot peg has a small touch mark on the end, these are OE pegs re-plated.

It has a rare color combination. This is the first year of the W123. Its extremely low mileage secures its collect-ability. Its original and rare Nickel Green paint has a deep luster. All exterior trim including
chrome and aluminum pieces are all well preserved and shine like new. The Parchment MB-Tex interior is honest and all original, detailed to a very high standard with an aim at preservation. There is absolutely no rust, whatsoever on this car. The dash has no cracks and there have been no accidents.
This car has been garaged and maintained its entire 2 owner life by gentlemen who were car enthusiasts and who drove the car short distances regularly. All buttons, knobs, switches, and lights are in working order. The A/C has been converted to R134. This car is turn-key, ready to enjoy. The upholstery, loop carpeting and wood trim are in excellent original condition. The Becker radio has been
refurbished and works perfectly. It drives perfectly and with no rattles inside. The original OM617 diesel engine is one of the best engines ever made, with examples easily cresting 500,000 miles.
The transmission shifts smoothly and moves the car smartly. This would be a fantastic daily driver, comfortable and economical. The engine bay displays all of its original tags and VIN numbers and has been thoroughly detailed. Original manuals, keys, and a 1977 brochure is included! Everything from top to bottom has been reviewed by certified Mercedes mechanics or replaced with OEM parts. This car needs nothing but a willing driver! I just had a Mercedes specialist look over this car for any defects, and he simply changed the oil, stating this is one of the nicest W123 he's seen.
