Newer Batteries! Low Hours! Ready for the Summer Season! This 1989 Luhrs Alura 30 Classic has a surprising shine on her hull. The current owner bought a new boat, and only has room for one. She was hauled out in late June, and has just been waxed. The original owner replaced the gas engine with a 1996 Cummins six cylinder
BTA5.9M1-250 diesel, which made his round trip between Rhode Island and Florida more economical. There are a few added features. There is a 1200 Watt inverter that is fed by three batteries. There is a small electric heater in the cabin, as well as a kerosene heater that vents through the cabin top.
For the fisherman, there is a radar arch, equipped with working lights and rocket launchers. The old Raymarine radar dome and unit were removed but are still in the cabin. The current owner did not need radar, and added a Garmin GPSMAP XSV. The V berth cushions have been replaced, as well as most of the headliner. The galley has a stainless steel sink, two burner stove, and icebox with a refrigeration
unit. The compressor for the refrigeration needs to be replaced. The head has a nice fold down teak seat for showers. There is a holding tank and macerator.
