Great weekend boat! The Maxum 3300 SE is a borderline " sport cruiser" with power enough to get up over 40 mph and cruise efficiently at around 25 to 30, with what has been described by reviewers as " sprightly" handling. Typical of Maxum was their efficient use of space in their
layouts, these boats are known for feeling big for their size, and the 3300 SE (" SCR" prior to 2003) is a good example, with plenty of birdpit seating as well as at the helm, including back to back birdpit/helm passenger seats that fold down flat and expand into a sun lounger.
For long season boaters the camper back full enclosure can take the chill off, and for party boaters, plans need not be changed due to weather because ten folks can still hang out above the cabin even on a rainy day with room for another half dozen or more below.
