It sleeps 4 adults comfortably with room for kids in the salon. As you come aft, there is a U shaped settee with a good sized double drop leaf table centered in the cabin providing dining for four to six.
There is ample 12v lighting throughout the boat and four opening ports in the main salon area for ventilation and light. There is a teak and holly sole through-out the vessel.
The galley is on the port side aft featuring a single stainless steel sink, three burner propane stove, Icebox, hot & cold pressure water and ample storage under and outboard along the hullside. Further aft and entering from the port side is an ample quarter berth with a double berth, opening port, and hanging locker.. The CSY 44 is regarded as one of the finest sailboats ever made!
This is the classic CSY 44 Pilot House Ketch. prized for its solid construction, spacious interior, relatively shallow shoal draft, and smooth easy sailing you only get with a ketch,
This vessel was knocked off of its stands by hurricane Ian. There is some relatively minor damage to the fiberglass ridge at the rub rail where it leaned against the next boat. Other than that it does not appear to have significant storm damage. The way it rested against the sloop next to it minimized the damage. It should be inspected but it came through the storm as well as it could for a boat knocked off its stands. The boat was brought to the yard under its own sails and power. The owner states that the Yanmar engine operates as expected and the sails have some life remaining. The hull appears to be solid. It needs to be sanded, pits filled, and repainted. There is some damage to the fiberglass ridge where the rub rail is located in a couple of places. The rub rail probably needs to be replaced. The standing rigging appears to be in good condition. There are no burrs or obvious issues on the rigging. The sheets and lines probably need to be replaced. All of the woodwork on the boat needs to be refinished, including both hatch doors. From inside, there are some small cracks in the fiberglass roof in several places but there were no signs of water leakage. The interior is in fair condition. Cushions and upholstery probably need to be replaced. There are no obvious leaks and the interior is dry. The engine, wiring, and tubing all look to be in good condition. The engine compartment is clean. The condition of the operating systems is unknown and should be inspected. It may be possible to run the Yanmar engine while in the boatyard but most of the systems probably can not be checked out while on the hard.
