Its about that time that I sell my Jeep.
I had replaced the stock 304 when it had low oil pressure before it went. Motor is a 84 wagoneer block rebuilt for mild power. 9.5 compression pistons, new roller rockers, cam and the upgraded oil pump. 4bbl 650 with a Edelbrock intake and wooden riser plate. At the same time I instaled a twin stick for
the transfer case. The frame was also boxed at the front to help stiffen. I also have a un instaled roll bar tie in kit that comes with it. I also have a hyd clutch kit that was never instaled yet along with other misc parts that I aquired when I was doing the repairs.
Body is a fiberglass tub and fenders/hood. Steel grill. Paint about 12 years old. Minor chips and the hood has a small chip when the previous owner flung the hood open. 2.5" lift with springs. 33x12.5 tires and a brand new spare/rim. Power steering. All new hoses/belts wires/plugs, fuel pump and lines. Brakes due to not driving much in 1.5 years Id either cut the drums or just replace for how cheap they are. Drivehaft
was rebuilt and balanced. All new U/joints on the rear driveshaft. Have new Ujoints for the front axle uninstalled. Top is a Bestop but is showing a tight fit still.
Doors skins are shrunken and the front snaps popped. Ive never had the top off. Just doors off and back window rolled up. Some off roading but always mild, as I never got the rollbar tie in done I wouldn't take it into anything. Seats are Jeep and are from a Wrangler were new 12 years ago when the tub was done. Miles 77555New build 360 AMC 4 years old with a few hundred miles on it. Optima Yellow top battery4sp T18 Trans 6.5:1 first gear Dana 20 Transfer case with twin stick. Pill still installed so you cannot force high/low
on independent axles. Allows for high and low with or without 4wd.
Pills need to be removed to allow front wheel drive. Alternator is new and is a GM style hi amp. Similar to the Mean Green but I forget the brand. 140Amp I think. Gas gauge recently stopped working, has a new sender with the tank but never replaced the gauge. Fuel tank sender is accessible through a hatch under the rear sear. Round boat access hatch/waterproof. Jeep gets about 12-14mpg on the highway.

This Special Deluxe has been meticulously restored.
There wasn't a single aspect that was over looked during the 3 year restoration. This was a body off restoration with no expense spared. Every aspect of the car is like new and it runs like a top! This is truly a car that you can drop the top and go for a cruise as soon as you get it home!
It would be hard to find another 48 Ford in this condition! The flat head V-8 and 3 speed manual transmission were both rebuilt during the time of the restoration and have had about 5000 miles put on them since the car was finished. The fuel system, brakes and all the other mechanical aspects of the car were all addressed during the rebuild.
The paint is base coat clear coat and looks terrific. There is absolutely no rust or Bondo on this car, and I welcome you to bring your magnets and come see for yourself. This is a very straight and clean 48 convertible. The cloth top is in like new condition and is working great with just the push of a button the top goes up and down with ease! When
you drop the top it really showcases the breathtaking interior that was restored back to like new condition! When you sit in this car it instantly transports you back to the Ford show room in 1948.
All the other components on the car such as the lights and gauges work just like they should as well Even the original 1948 radio plays static when you turn it on. I'm sure if you spend some time with it you could get it to start playing a radio station! If this is a car that you have been wanting, then look no further, you have found it!

Complete off-frame, nut and bolt restoration 1989-99.
Original engine professionally rebuilt, increased to 2138 cc from 1991 cc with 86 mm pistons from 83 mm, 270ð camshaft. A spin on oil-filter was installed. The car has had annual professional maintenance. Heated storage, not driven for the last four years but has recently had a thorough
maintenance check. After all fluid were drained and replaced, new spark plugs and a complete lube and tune-up our local LBC mechanic says there are only two things that could be done. He missed the fact that the seal in the steering column needs replacing (didn ât notice the leak until he had it back together).
He also suggested that because the choke is hard to pull out that a choke with finger grips might be a good idea. Professional body finish and paint, black acrylic urethane, grey interior and hood-stick cover, leather seats. Car currently set up with black removable factory steel hardtop. Comes complete with white soft-top, tonneau cover and side curtains. Accessories include;
badge bar, Lucas 576 fog lamps, Lucas PL 700 Tripod headlights with stoneguards, Lucas reverse lamp, all-syncro gear-box (original goes with car), Michelin XZX Radials, wheel trims, seat belts, Radio Mobile radio (not hooked up), proper tool kit, spring-back fender mirrors, car cover, Pertronix ignition, chrome luggage rack, Technalon car cover, protective bags for top, tonneau, side curtains.
This car is an eye-catching vehicle that looks and drives great. It is not a " Trailer Queen" and loves the open road.
