The Capri is still in its original color of Sapphire blue with only one external repaint in the early 1990s.
The engine bay, trunk and door jambs are still original paint. The chrome / brightwork is all original and in very good condition even all the glass is original including the windshield with its Ford logo. The interior of the Capri is
original and in amazing condition although I think that the drivers side seat bolster might have been repaired at some point. All the switches, gauges, windows and horn work as intended. The original owner kept a log of all work performed on the Capri from day one.
He also kept the warranty paperwork including build sheet. The original 2.6 litre V6 engine fires up quickly and runs smoothly with good oil pressure and no smoke. According to the original owners log the cylinder heads were rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago. The one thing that is definitely not original is the transmission. In 2004 the owner had the original 4 speed manual gearbox changed to a 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission
at a cost of $4,000. due to his health / age (easier to drive). The automatic works well and the car still feels responsive, I personally don't mind it but you could convert it back quite easily as the clutch pedal is still installed and the car was not cut up to install the auto box.
I forgot to mention a couple of things and need to clarify the mileage. Yes it does have 135991 miles on the car as per the records, the odometer only shows 35991 as it only has 5 digits. I recently installed new tires as can be seen in the photos as the ones on it were over 15 years old. the spare is an original made in Germany. The Capri comes with all documents and manuals.

This vehicle starts, shifts and runs well. The engine sounds fantastic when it idles as only a 928 can. This car was purchased about 1 year old in 1991with 7690 miles and my wife drove it as her primary vehicle for about 3 years. Then we retired it to the garage and it became an occasional weekend
fun car. Much of this time it was covered by a car cover. We have only put 2000miles or less since the mid 90's. The vehicle has NEVER been involved in a car crash. I am not aware of any rust. It runs, drives, handles and stops well. Both of the front and rear air conditioners work.
The vehicle has recently had maintenance and has been serviced. The clutch has been serviced. The fluids have been checked, changed or topped off. The timing belt has around 2000 miles on it. It has the correct numbers matching engine, also stamped LX on the engine pad, correct dual carb numbers only on a dual quad 425, and the ever so important BS transmission stamp (only on Gran Sport models of that year). Also has the finned fender liners and correct steering ratio only found on a Gran Sport in 1965. Just to be clear, this is a RUNNING DRIVING car! 1969 MGC GT Coupe Fully restored by a Pennsylvania marque specialist.
This could easily be one of the nicest GT Coupes to be found anywhere in the world! Only 243 miles since the restoration. 145 bhp, 2,912 cc OHV inline 6-cylinder engine, twin SU carburetors, four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, independent front suspension with torsion
bars and wishbones, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and front disc, rear drum hydraulic brakes. Following decades of remarkable success on the racetrack and sales floor with its beloved four-cylinder sports cars, MG first experimented with six-cylinder power in 1967 with the release of the MGC, which neatly bridged the gap in BMCs product line created by the demise of the Austin-Healey 3000.
Available in both Roadster and GT Coupe form, the new model looked much like the MGB, aside from a pair of pronounced hood bulges and larger 14-inch diameter wheels. To accommodate the larger engine, however, the MGC front suspension eliminated the coil springs of the MGB in favor
of a torsion bar and wishbone arrangement. With 145 horsepower and plenty of torque on tap, the MGC was the most powerful car MG produced during the era, trumping even the later V8-equipped MGBs of the mid-1970s.
Contemporary road tests revealed that while it was just one second quicker than its predecessor in the zero-to-60 mph sprint, the MGC offered a much higher top speed, exceeding 120 mph. An automatic gearbox was available, and in GT Coupe form, the MGC offered a slight performance edge over its Roadster sibling due to its improved aerodynamics. Production would only last three years however, with only about 9,000 examples ultimately built, including 4,449 GT coupes.
