The Pontiac GTO is an automobile that was built by American company Pontiac in generations from 1964 to 1974 model years.
The first generation GTO was a muscle car of the 1960s and 1970s era, the Pontiac GTO is considered by some to have started the trend with all four domestic automakers offering a variety of competing models. In 1965 the GTO
was an optional package on the intermediate-sized Pontiac (VIN 237). Painted in black, has a 389 Tri-Power engine, and fitted with many factory features including console, bucket seats, dual exhaust, 4-speed transmission, and much more. The 389 in ours looks period correct with the aqua blue Pontiac paint on the engine block, heads, valve covers, and intake, correct chrome air cleaners on the Tri-Power setup, power steering, and most other stock Pontiac appointments sitting in a clean and detailed engine compartment.
The interior in ours has a lot of originality and the twin front bucket seats are done in the factory white vinyl with the door panels and the rear seat matching. It has
power steering, radio with an 8-track tape deck, great wood in the dash, factory steering wheel, chrome center console, 4-speed chrome shifter and ivory shifter ball on top.
GTO looks great as a daily driver in black as it has Pontiac's characteristic vertically stacked quad headlights, black painted hard top, the famous hood scoop, egg-crate grille, great body lines, trim and rubber. The heads are OE closed chamber, with all new single groove valves, a mild port and chamber clean up, screw in studs and guide plates and Crane aluminum roller rocker arms.

The intake is an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap with an Edelbrock. 1450 600 CFM carburetor and AN braided fuel lines and fittings. Ford Motorsports tall polished aluminum valve covers. It has a complete MSD ignition system, including
a billet distributor, 6AL ignition box, Blaster coil and 8MM plug wires. FPA ceramic coated mid length headers, 2 1/4" Aluminumized exhaust pipes, X pipe, Walker quiet flow mufflers, and 2" tail pipes with OE style tips.
The AOD transmission has been completely rebuilt, with many performance upgrades, H/D clutch packs, bands, a Superior shift improver kit, A code O/D servo, deep Aluminum pan, HD plate style transmission cooler, with AN style braided cooler lines and fittings. The torque converter, is a custom built unit by Edge Racing. The P/S system has been updated, with an intragal unit by Borgeson. It also has a P/S cooler. The front disc brakes are from a Granada. Due to the California smog regulations, the engine power was reduced. The same engine can be added 100 HP with few modifications such as larger camshaft. Lots of new parts are installed on the engine such as alternator, starter, sparkplugs, wires, clutch fan and the belts. Never rebuilt the engine. Fixed
few oil leaks. Still has a very small leak from oil pan. So small which is hard to see where it comes from. Runs well, but still a turnup will make it faster. Again, only has factory 189 hp engine, so will not burn out the tires. Original Factory 350, 3 speed automatic tranny.
Runs and shift very well. No leaks. Still will run for years. Runs straight without any issues. The heater is working. The car's original color was red. it was repainted black later.

This is not a glam ad so I'll limit the romance and adjectives.
This truck was built in Florida in 1996 and has been owned by the builder for 25 yrs. I purchased the truck from a dealer, so I'm essentially the second owner. The dealer replaced the carpeting, switched the Holley carb for an Edelbrock, and replaced the front bushings. I was told
the builder freshend the truck up but do not know when or what was done. I have replaced the mechanical fuel pump, wiring harness and temperature switch for the electric fan, and other minor things and waiting for a replacement left side door latch. I just completed a 350 mi trip to Boerne Tx for a car show, and truck ran very well.
Oil pressure is good, and temperature stays at 185-195 with ac on. Truck tracks straight, rides well, steering is tight (no slop), and very comfortable. Transmission shifts well , and brakes are good (no pull). the remaining issues on truck are the speedo and horn are not working. I replaced the speed sensor on tranny which was bad but it did not solve the
issue. Suspect that this is probably a ground. Everything else is in good condition. Body, paint, suspension, are in great shape. Drive train---Truck has GM 350 ci crate motor with casting # 10066036, headers, aluminum intake.
edelbrock etc. Transmission is TH 400 (3 speed), and 10 bolt rear end with 3.23 gears and limited slip differential. This is the desirable one with a 8.5'' ring gear and multiple gear options. Lokar shifter with custom tiki nob. Magnuson aluminum radiator-electric fan. Dual exhaust. Tranny cooler. Interior---Truck has taupe custom leather interior--seats--doors, and kick panels.
