This is one of the last of the Silver Shadows made.
It can be confidently said that the 1975-76 year manufactured Silver Shadows were the best of the series as they incorporated all of the technological and design enhancements developed over the life of the model (1966-76). This one is finished in âHighland Green â with Honey Tan Connolly
hide interior with Ivory piping and light fawn rugs. The car is finished with hand-painted tan fine-lines on the body waist-line and the hub-cap trim rings. The color is a stunning combination with the âHighland Green â presenting in a deep emerald hue.
The leather finished off with Ivory piping sets the interior off perfectly. With the subtle factory green tint to the glass all round, the car looks stunning. The body on the car is straight and the paint presents well. There are imperfections here and there that can be seen on close inspection of the photos (there are the typical marks at the " A" and " C" pillars where Rolls-Royce used the lead-wiping technique
to join body panels. This caused the paint to fracture as. This occurred on literally EVERY Silver Shadow made). There is also some small paint chips around the headlights and minor little crazing, however, they are not objectionable but are mentioned out of âclear-disclosure â.
The interior of the car is in stunning condition with excellent condition Connolly hide leather. All the wood â on the dash, window surrounds, the door cappings and the vanity mirrors â were professionally re-done to exacting Rolls-Royce standards at considerable cost by a RR wood re-finisher some 5 years ago and have the correct flat mirror finish. The headlining is very good and the carpet excellent.
The deep grain and glossy finish of the rich grained wood in this example combined with the warmth of the Honey tan leather make the interior of this car very rich and inviting.
All interior feature and functions are fully operational including all electrics â seats, windows, gauges, clock etc. The A/C blows icy cold and heater working well. Everything is also clean and crisp. It has its original push-button radio and factory installed 8-track cassette â not many left these days. The chrome and bright work is very good without any pitting and the rubber around the car is good. Mechanically, the car is in superior condition and the presentation under the bonnet and under carriage clearly shows that.
It has not been âdone-up â for sale but maintained in original condition. The car drives very smooth, is very throttle responsive and brakes well. All hydraulics and brakes have been inspected and tested, working perfectly. Exhaust is good. The car was recently fully work-shop inspected by Park-Ward and was regularly serviced by only expert Rolls-Royce agents. The car is fitted with a matching set of Michelin tires. These are delightfully " period correct" but they are old. For show use and light driving they are fine but if you are intending to go touring, new tyres are recommended.
This is a 9 out of 10 driver example that needs nothing else doing. Even though not a show car, she makes for a gorgeous âweekender â that you could still take to your next RR meet with pride and joy. Please take the time to look at the photo link below to many additional photos where I have endeavored to capture how pretty this car is. Being a significantly well-above average example of a Silver shadow, this will bring a good price. Notwithstanding, it remains sensibly priced.

Now for sale is this 1959 Le Sabre in well preserved condition.
Repainted in its original color of Wedgewood Blue, the car has a lot of eye appeal. The paint quality is just fair, it looks pretty good from 20 feet but is far from show quality. There are some minor areas of paint flaking around the trim, as well as some areas on the roof and
trunk lid where the paint is thin. It doesn't seem to keep people from ooh-ing and ah-ing over the car though, when I was taking the pictures at least 10 different folks stopped along the way to take a closer look, no joke. GM products from this year have a certain cachet and this car is no exception.61,100 original miles The body on this Le Sabre is very straight, panel alignment is good, you can tell it's never been hit or bumped.
All doors close with a perfect click. The car's strongest point is the fidelity of its sheet metal. You'll find no rust issues - no bubbling, no blistering, no problems. Tires are Remington bias-plys, they're old but still have good tread. All 4 hubcaps are
original and in great shape. The complex front grill is in excellent condition. The front bumper is very straight and the original chrome still looks pretty nice after 58 years.
The back bumper has a small dent and quite a bit of hazing. All lights and lenses on the car are in nice condition The interior is pretty much a time warp back to 1959. The unique ribbon speedometer on the 59's were prone to failure, this one works perfectly. All of the gauges work correctly, the ventilation sliders move freely, even the original radio works. Not really any glitches to track down; the lights, signals, fan, wipers and horn all work correctly. Good original door panels and hardware. Windows all
wind smoothly, all locks work. Clean backseat, parcel shelf, and headliner.
The 364 Nailhead runs great with no smoke, it provides a good amount of power and has a nice balanced idle. The Dynaflow transmission has recently been serviced and operates with the smoothness that it's known for. Very solid undercarriage, still showing traces of the factory red oxide primer. The steel used in the perimeter frame alone could create a Hyundai or two.
