As a Commercial Banking Officer, participants will be prepared for the following responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of existing customer relationships Meeting regularly with clients in their places of business, listening to the customers' needs, exploring new business opportunities, and crafting value-added credit and treasury management solutions Being active in the community and building relationships with other business professionals such as accountants, attorneys, engineers, and architects Growing a book of business over time Training and Development Process: To ensure program participants have the necessary tools to build their skillsets and progress efficiently through the program, the Commercial Banking Officer Development Program utilizes a combination of on the job training, mentoring, continuous feedback, and classroom-style education including the following: Participate in several specialized orientation activities related to topics including: The Bank's organization, history and values Service standards Policies and regulatory overview Performance and development planning Network with assigned mentors, other managers and leaders within their community Participate in classroom programs designed to complement on-the-job training.
