at Advent Health for Children provides specialized comprehensive care for infants and children that require continuous monitoring. The PICU offers 22 critical care beds that are all centrally monitored.
Children who come to the PICU often have significant breathing problems, heart defects, complications from diabetes or injuries sustained from non-accidental traumas. Our caregivers are trained to deal specifically with these critical cases. Our physicians are board certified pediatric intensivists and are available on the unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Procedures and treatments available within the unit for our critical pediatric patients include endotracheal intubations, CVL insertions
and management, lumbar punctures, exchange transfusions, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, blood product administration, ECMO, hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, surgical procedures, and advanced respiratory therapy including nitric oxide.
In addition to specialty trained pediatric ICU providers, nurse practitioners, anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and respiratory therapists there are a wide variety of support services available to the PICU patients and families. Support services include, but are not limited to, pediatric trained: palliative care, nutritionists, pharmacists, social workers, Pediatric Vascular Access team, ST/OT and PT, pastoral care and child life specialists.
These disciplines participate directly in the unit multidisciplinary family centered rounds which occur twice daily to keep our team and families informed with the most update information on the patient’s condition. The role you’ll contribute: The Advanced Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse works in a pediatric intensive care setting that serves the needs of patients with a variety of diagnoses. Providing specialized comprehensive care for infants and children that require continuous monitoring. The nurse is required to have specialized training to deal with all critical care cases admitted to the department.
The nurse is comfortable and proficient in managing and operating all complex medical equipment and assisting physicians in the management of the patient. Demonstrates proficiency in procedures and treatments available within the unit and are responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. internal quality assurance audits of in-house coders, providers, and outside vendors as assigned. These audits will be used to set companywide objectives/goals, identify deficiencies, and ensure compliance.
The ideal candidate will be proficient at abstracting appropriate diagnosis from supporting documentation in the medical record as well as assuring that performance measures are being properly reported. These ongoing audits will be performed in order to assure that submitted ICD-10-CM codes are fully supported by the clinical documentation and are being coded to the highest specificity. Auditor will participate in various special projects stemming from results of previous audits and
report any improvement or nonengagement. Initial audits of new practices will be assigned in order to determine how providers can best be supported.
Auditor will analyze findings of completed audits to determine coding error trends and make recommendations for process improvements to prevent their reoccurrence. Must have up to date knowledge of quality performance measures and risk adjustment methodology. What's Expected: Use critical thinking skills to determine any deficiencies in provider documentation, proper coding, and performance reporting. Ability to abstract codes from claims data, diagnostic testing, labs, specialist, and hospital notes. Position Overview The cashier associate is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing accurate, fast and courteous customer checkout. This individual maintains financial responsibility in his/her service lane. Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
