Purpose of a loan officer Effectively establish relationships with members, identify their needs and wants, then offer appropriate solutions in a way that exhibits value along with the risks and benefits. Responsibilities • Take applications by phone, online, or in person • Find the motivation for the applications • Collect the necessary documents needed to make an informed decision on the loan • When necessary, deny members of their loan in a professional courteous manner.
• Comply with all policies, laws, and regulations Knowledge and Skill Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • Basic computer skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills
