Some of your job responsibilities will include: Removing fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers, from walls prior to painting, using a screwdriver Filling nail holes, cracks and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler using caulking gun and putty knife Painting surfaces using brushes, spray gun or paint rollers Applying coats of paint, (or varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer) to surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures with a cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects (Simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile) Selecting premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances
