with construction projects that range from preventative maintenance to new construction of INDOT's facilities (e.
g. roadways, bridges, and traffic signals). INDOT is seeking recent graduates interested in heavy highway construction who possess problem: solving skills needed to address issues encountered throughout all phases of construction. Individuals will gain experience interpreting contract documents to ensure contractors deliver a product that conforms to plans and specifications. Engineer Trainee: A Professional engineering license is not required for this position. Candidates who have an Engineering degree but do not hold a professional license are eligible for promotional increases upon achieving milestones, including passing the EIT exam, years of experience, and obtaining their professional engineering license.
