Project Outline: The technology development and implementation group works to advance the capabilities of our Biotherapeutics department as a whole. As we develop new platforms and optimize various parameters, we have the opportunity to better understand the metabolism of our cells. This project aims to generate and analyze metabolic trends across therapeutic processes to build a " metabolic database" for our platform. For this project, the intern will be working hands-on in the lab to culture mammalian cells and produce material at multiple scales such as in shake flasks, AMBR bioreactors, and bench-scale bioreactors.
They will also have the opportunity to learn analytical techniques and data analysis. At the end of the project, the intern will be expected to summarize his/her work with a presentation to the group.
