Plant operator's duties include, but are not limited to: Monitoring control panels; Adjusting equipment by remote control, computer systems, or manually as needed; Monitoring storage lakes; Operating equipment, driving and hauling trailers of biosolids; and, Performing maintenance and repair of mechanical processing equipment. Operators also provide assistance with reclamation collection and infrastructure as needed. Operators must be able and
willing to work rotating shifts; Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 7:00 a. m. - 5:30 p. m. with on-call every 9 weeks (when fully staffed).

Testing includes mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, percentage calculation, geometry, basic algebra, and calculations of volume and flow. To be considered you: Must be at least 18 years old Have a HS Diploma or GED, some college or technical training is highly desired. Applicants should have mechanical, computer, and analytical skills. Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or obtain within twelve (12) months of assignment to position and a driving record acceptable to Tooele City's risk management and insurability standard.
If you do not currently possess a CDL, as a condition of hire and continued employment you will need: To obtain your CDL medical card within 3 months of assignment to position, pass the written exam within 4 months of assignment, and obtain a full Class B CDL within 6 months of assignment. If you do not have a CDL upon hire, Tooele City will pay for your training costs to obtain your CDL but you will be required to sign a Training Reimbursement Agreement Plan which requires that you repay a pro-rated reimbursement of tuition and expenses that was paid on your behalf if you resign within one year after attainment.

All Roads Lead Here! Intern: Mechanic (Maine): Pike is looking to hire Technical College student to work as Mechanic Intern at our Benton Shop. As an intern within our Equipment Division, the selected candidate will learn about the repair and maintenance process and practices Pike follows to maintain the equipment fleet to operate safely and at the lowest cost possible.
Throughout the summer the intern will be exposed to a variety of our repair and maintenance practices; conducting tests and completing preventative maintenance on all brands and types of mobile equipment, learning about work orders, purchase orders, and maintaining inventory.
Classification: Non-Exempt student hourly position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work in the shop to learn about and assist with work order process from creating to completion. Work with shop foreperson to lean and enter vehicle condition reports. Learn inventory processes for required parts/supplies. Trouble shoot and maintain all types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to reclaimers, milling
machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers, rollers, dump trucks, Redimix trucks, trailers and road tractors.
