May install pistons, sleeves, rings, bearings, rods, crankshafts, timing gears, and rocker arms. May be required to perform fuel injection equipment repair, overhaul, rebuild, and calibration duties utilizing a variety of complex test and calibration equipment. Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems such as injectors, leaking wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, fuel tanks, brake cylinders and worn brake shoes, voltage regulators, generators, injector pumps, and fuel pumps.

Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. Assists lower grade mechanics in performing major repair work. May provide Field and limited Sustainment maintenance at unit locations as part of a " contact team. " Recovers and evacuates inoperable vehicles from the unit location of breakdown. May assisthigher graded mechanics in repairing a variety of interconnected systems such as electrical, air and hydraulic systems, complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems that use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems, complex fuel injection systems and other similar complex systems.

Conducts readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity. Performs operational inspections and ensures vehicles and equipment are properly serviced, including brake adjustments, replacing hydraulic fluids, greasing, cleaning, etc. and performs other preventive maintenance operations as required. Inspects supported equipment prior to use during Inactive Duty Training (IDT) and Annual Training (AT), to ensure that it is functioning properly.

May inspect inprocess repair work of lower graded repairer to ensure equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. May serve as a commodity inspector during Command Maintenance Management evaluations (COMET) or as a member of a Maintenance Assistance Instruction Team (MAIT). Instructs operator/crew in the maintenance of equipment and provides technical advice and assistance to supported units when requested. May maintain and repair electronics communication equipment by removing and replacing components and elements. Equipment includes such items as radios, field telephones, amplifiers, switchboards, recorders, intercoms.

Assists in the maintenance of production reports and records, and makes recommendations to the supervisor. Plans, organizes, and performs technical analyses as required or assigned. Makes recommendations to the supervisor as to adjustments necessary to effectively, efficiently and economicallyaccomplish the work and maximize production. Join our team and grow with us! We are an equal opportunity employer. Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the loading equipment, conveyors, and forklifts in the BOW facility. The Maintenance Technician will make minor

to major repairs, as well as, perform planned maintenance on over 40 pieces of equipment. Job Duties Troubleshoot and repair loading equipment, conveyors, and forklifts.

Remove and replace electric motors. Adjust bearings and replace brushes. Overhaul, repair, and adjust differential and hydraulic assemblies. Lubricate and perform preventive maintenance on forklift equipment. Maintain a maintenance log using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Perform assigned day-to-day facility repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.

Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, clean fixtures, and replace bulbs and lamps.

Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of loading equipment, conveyors, and forklifts. Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed. Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems; detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and/or malfunctions.

Able to diagnose and repair mast and attachment components. Possess a good working knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes. Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs. Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation. Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to the work floor. Perform cleaning of equipment prior to releasing back to service. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance shop and facility.

Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements. Competent to complete legible service documents and logs for preventative maintenance tasks. Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology. Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures. Applicants Must Have a valid, unexpired Driver's License. Be legally authorized to work in the United States. Be at least 18 years old at the time of application. Be willing to submit to a background check and urinalysis drug screen upon offer of employment.

Education, Experience, and Certification Requirement Two or more years of experience in a related field, including maintenance of various lift trucks, such as Hyster, with lift ratings up to 12,000 pounds. Manufacturing, automotive, military, or recent trade school graduates with applied skills. A solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and ability along with knowledge of industrial electricity up to 440 volts, is preferred. Employment Type(s) Full-Time, Non-Exempt Compensation Hourly (paid weekly via Direct Deposit). Overtime opportunities (overtime pay is equal to 1.5 times the Team Member's regular hourly rate of pay, for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek).
